Gardening class held FARMINGTON -- The culminaof a series of classes on gardening for nutrition held at the Extension Service in Farmington was an opportunity to transplant tomato and pepper plants into containers to raise until the plants are ready to be planted in the garden. THROUGH THE series of clastion six-pac- k ses, low income families learned how to plant and start seeds, how to transplant seedlings and gardening and harvesting tips. Vegetable seed packets donated by Native Plants Inc. gave each of the partici- - experience in garpants hands-o- n dening. Kathy Olson, a volunteer coordinator for the USU Extension Farm in Farmington taught the classes. She has completed a three year master gardening program at the Extension Farm and has an additional three years gardening experience.
