Gentile, Layton on Jan. 1 at 1 p.m. Auditions Scheduled By Theatre The Golden Spike Repertory Theatre, fast becoming a prominent theatre group in the region, is opening auditions for its 1984 season. The WSC professor said that actors, actresses, and dancers wishing to audition should make an appointment before the deadline, but that the actual audition ' will be held during winter quarter. Those who cannot come to the college for an audition may submit a video tape or audio tape along with a letter of recommendation, a resume and a photograph. Stage managers, designers, choreographers and technical staff should submit a resume that lists past experience. Well have a core company of 10 actors and actress that form a nucleus. They will be paid as will some technical, people, Ladwig said. Besides holding auditions , lo- cally Ladwig will also travel to other states from Colorado to California looking for theatre people. Ladwig said, This will be a world premiere of a fun script and will be performed by The Young Company. He continued, Our second show, Side By Side By Sondheim, needs outstanding singers who can perform the wide range of Stephen Sondheims scores from his many shows. It will pay off in energy dollars. Cohan and has rigorous dance requirements. The lead must be a thoroughly and must have the ability to see himself and the song, Ladwig said. He also has to have excellent dance support from the cast.
