The barbecue is planned for Sept. 24 at 2 p.m. at the Bountiful Park bowery. 625-554- BARD Receives Flood Grant Bountiful Sets Community Barbecue - BOUNTIFUL South Davis County service clubs, churches, and the Bountiful Area Chamber of Commerce are planning a community barbecue dinner, Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Bountiful City Park, 150 W. 600 N., to raise money to help victims of south Davis area floods. Sponsors of this event are: Bountiful Area Chamber of Commerce, Bountiful Community Church, Bountiful Elks Lodge 2442, Bountiful First Baptist, Bountiful Jaycees, Bountiful Jaycees Auxiliary, Bountiful Jeep Posse, Bountiful Kiwanis Club, Bountiful Lions Club, Bountiful Rotary Club, and LDS Church. Also, Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, Farmington Lions Club, Grace Baptist Church, Ladies of Elks, Lakeview Kiwanis, North Salt Lake Lions Club, Sertoma Club, Soroptimists of Bountiful, and St. Olaf s Catholic Church. Jack Brimhall, owner of the Red Flame Restaurant in Bountiful, will be cooking hundreds of sirloin roasts in a newly constructed barbecue pit at the park. Volunteers from the area churches, service clubs and the Chamber of Commerce will sell tickets, set up tables, and serve the dinner. Lloyd Carr, president of the' Bountiful Area Chamber of Commerce, said he hopes that more than 5,000 tickets can be sold for $10 each. The barbecue dinner will start at 2 p.m. and continue until 6 p.m. Besides the top sirloin, the menu will include a baked potato, corn on the cob (if available), or baked beans, salad, roll and butter, beverage and dessert.
