She was chosen from among over 150 fellow naval reservists. Her selection is remarkable in that she had no military experience before enlisting one year ago. A member of the Naval Supply Center Oakland Detachment A320, she quickly attained the Storekeeper Second Class (E-5- rating. ) During the week, Fletcher works with Davis County Comprehensive Employment Training Act (CETA) office. For years BOUNTIFUL Samuel Ross and his wife have rented a room in the basement of their home at 470 E. 400 N. to LDS missionaries, college students and others who have stayed for a short period of time. But since their neighborhood .is zoned for only single family homes, this practice may soon change. Renting the basement even to missionaires or room would make college students the home a duplex according to Bountiful City officials. And duplexes are not permitted in the neighborhood. The citys planning commission, by a 2 vote, suggested the council allow the practice to continue. But Mayor Dean Stahle said that if the council approved the 4-- Ross situation, it would change the entire area. COLE Review Correspondent At its meeting on July 12, BOUNTIFUL Bountiful Light and Power Commission members were informed of the proposed timetable for planning and construction of the Moon Lake hydroelectric plant. While overall planning and construction are projected to consume the next 30 months and though the plant will be ready and operational by winter of 1985, actual start-u- p and use of the plants power will probably not take place until the spring of 1986. It is expected that administrative and legal work will include approval of the water rights by November 1983, application for and approval of a land use permit from the Ashley National Forest by March 1984, negotiations with the appropriate y over Inagencies for the required dian lands on the lower part of the project, negotiation of a federal contract with the Western right-of-wa- Area Power Administration and agreements with the Bureau of Reclamation. The engineering and construction phase involves the possibility of hiring a firm to do the majority of the work though Bountiful City will whatevmost likely make provision to do er work they currently have expertise to do. The entire project will cost approximately $3.7 million. Of major concern is the design and construction of the turbine for the plant. Manufacture of the turbine alone will take anywhere from a year to 15 months. The commission recommended that preliminary administrative and legal work proceed as planned, but that recommendations be made in the meantime regarding specific engineering tasks that will need to be put out for bid and which city personnel will be able to perform. gOnslDQs) lED3 iyyretfTTrffrrtv.i L i tl V lCity everTbeen 33553373 QdQfiSBQ, 5) VEN 0060(50 SEE I lost 39 lbs. andas 36 to lose as t Weight loss varies with each Individual.
