Patricia ONeill is soprano soloist. She graduated from Louisiana State University with a masters degree in music. She sang and studied for six years in Germany and was awarded the Martha Baird Rockefeller Fund for Music grant while there. DAVID EVANS For nine years she was sociate professor Northwestern as- of voice University. at She has appeared throughout the U.S. in recitals and operas. Miss ONeill has recently moved to Salt Lake City. The organist for the production, Lovina T. Short, has studied under Alexander Shrin-e-r and graduated with a masters degree in organ performance at the University of Utah. She has coached opera workshops and she is a member of the Utah Chorale. She is the former organist for the first Baptist Church in Salt Lake City. George Behunin, tenor soloist, is a member of Young Audiences Inc. a national foundation for educating children in music in the schools. He solos for Pro Musica and has sang solos for 17 years with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Bass soloist is David Evans. He was raised in Bountiful and graduated from the University of Utah with a masters degree. He has formerly been a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and has soloed with them and the Utah Symphony. He studied 18 months in Germany where he sang in several Munich operas. He is presently -- In Centerville music director of Utah Opera Society. Conductor, Bonnie Winterton, is presently associate director of the Utah Chorale. Mrs. Winterton is the only woman to receive a masters of music degree in chorale conducting. The South Davis Community Choir will be performing May 6, 8 p.m. at the Bountiful Community Church located at IOC North 400 East, in Bountiful. Suggested donations are $2.50 a person or $5 a family. History Society Picks Officers CENTERVILLE The idea for a Centerville Historical Society was formed by Mary Ellen Smoot and Davis Putnam in 1982. Mrs. Smoot invited David Clinton Barber, Dorothy Streep-er- , Edna May Walton, Leon Olsen, Martin Knuteson and Vestil H. Harrison to meet at her home Jan. 20, to consider organizing the society. The discussed possible activities and formulated a preliminary constitutional draft which was presented by Leon Olsen. Since then, the organization has become an active group, with new officers and goals. During a program March 26, Edgar Wayman, the oldest man in attendance, now 89 years old, gave a nostalgic account spiced with humor of his boyhood days of Centerville. He also display- ed old photographs I .1. , by John F. Porter and Henry Cleveland was also played on the recording. The oldest person in attendance was Valeria Cheney Pack, 92 year old. Several guests were from Salt Lake, while one, Gwendolyn Woolley resides in Las Vegas. The society has an important project underway, to tape record the life stories of older residents of the community. Elected to the board of directors BOUNTIFUL The Bountiful City Council has passed an ordinance that would prohibit anyone from serving more than two terms on the citys planning commission, board of adjustment or power commission. Mayor Dean Stahle said that although the city had not had an ordinance in effect that prohibited serving for more than two terms, the city had followed the policy in recent years. He said the policy will make sure the city has continuous change on the three boards. He said the city should have continuity, but also there should be some measured change.
