Prior to the council meeting there was a public hearing held to discuss the adoption of an annexation policy plan. No comments were received from the community and the council went directly in to their scheduled council it. He explained that in conjunction with the Dept of Homeland Security, the Sheriffs office is beginning a neighborhood watch program in each community in Sevier County. The council was supportive of the idea and felt that through publicity of this program, someone interested in heading the project would step forw ard. The council would like to hear from interested individuals or families. The seismic survey company had contacted tlie city concerning a survey they would like to complete on city owned property.
