Some coaches within this region say they are scared to death of the talent that lurks on the Woods Cross roster. Two of those players By KEITH DUNCAN With great tradition and impressive talent, the Woods Cross Wild- cats are the team to beat again in Region Four soccer. Today marks the opening of another Region Four season as the DHS diamondmen struggle contests n in early-seaso- that are highly respected include Tommy Angelos and Henry Ihrig, perhaps two of the finest soccer players this state will ever see and two who represent one of the top front lines ever to be put together. Tyler Hoskins had a triple and collectively the team stole five bases. as The latter game of the week saw Davis lose to Hillcrest Davis pitchers allowed 15 base on balls. On Monday the team beat Box Elder 1 and then beat Layton 0 on Tuesday. Davis made it three in a row with a 2 victory over Weber on Wednesday, but that was the game in which both goalie Ted Donaval and forward James Oldham suffered serious injuries that may keep them out for the season. Donaval got run into and had his knee tore up and hyperextented. Oldham suffered a broken collar bone. Without those two players, Davis then had to reshuffle players and perhaps that reason alone cost them a 1 loss to Bonneville on Thursday. Replacing Donaval at goalie will be the toughest part because Ted had proven to be one of the most capable goalies in the area. . This week the team opens league play at home on Tuesday against Viewmont. 4-- SNOW April AMU IM CbMreaSO SaL 9 to Mu. 9 to 4 84-5- 7, 82-5- 0. In the 1600 meters, Andy Bailey came out on top (4:41 .00) and Andy Hogan was second. Finally in the 3200 meters, Davis took the clean sweep again as David Hunter captured first place. Slim for Life meets for one hour per week for ten weeks. Class locations for the spring session include: Bountiful and Woods Cross High School and Humana Davis North Hospital. Also offered is Slim for Life Plus, a class which combines the group discussions on diet with participation in an aerobic walking and jogging program. Class members meet for two hours one night per week. The first hour is spent with a dietitian, and the second hour is spent with an exercise specialist who leads the group in an aerobic exercise session. A second, optional exercise session is available later in the week, at no extra charge.
