was devoted principally to the showering by representatives of several beveral of the stakes of the following questions 1 what is ie the comparative condi tiou of your association 2 what does your association need 8 how many of your ward asso associations oia are ready for part 11 II of the he manual AR Dual 4 why has baa there been no general res response pOLSO to the fifty cent fund 5 to what extent has your as socia tion taking advantage ut of the normal training class lelce 6 how many of your association are composed ot of young men 7 what special advantage has the missionary work been to your stake 8 are your stake and ward organizations Izat ions working in harmony with and recognized as helps in the priesthood the associations generally were reported to be in better condition than ever elver before very few of them were ready to take up part II 11 of the manuel manual preferring to continue their labors for a time yet with part 1 I the reasons ascribed for the nonpayment thought young people should be married at least by the time they were 24 A man cannot make a success of life until be Js is married he may not then but ike be cannot before marriages should be for legitimate heirs of god tho the young people were urged to carefully guard their virtue the illicit kissing among young people was denounced in emphatic terms as being the be tore fore runner of immorality kissing should not be indulged in until alter after marriage president george Q cannon related an instance of the serious consequences of taking the name of the lord in vain and urged the young people to be very careful in the use not only of the name of deity but of 0 f the savior he referred also alao to sexual sin he had observed that unless persons who were guilty of this sin repented they invariably apostatized the young men were informed that there was plenty of room for their ambition in the kingdom of god if their ambition was a proper one that is not to hold office and occupy high positions posit ioos but to be useful and add work for the advancement of this work the advancement of woman was referred to it has boon been called womans comans day she has now the right to hold property and possesses besses many social and leal privileges which she did not possess a short abort time since the young ladies were urged to use these privileges wisely and not seek
