Gilbaugh Professor of Education, San Jose State College The campus newspaper has become an instrument of violence. In fact, much of the propaganda previously in underground found publications has surfaced as regular fare in official student newspapers. A cursory search through the pages of smut, hate propaganda, and seditious articles of past issues of underground newspapers often turns up the names of contributors who later gained staff positions on official campus newspapers.
