Designed to increase the interaction between students and business leaders, the program was officially kicked off this month. BICEP (Business. Industry. Community. Education. Partnership! is a joint enturc among Granite. .Iordan. Murray and Salt Lake School Districts, along with business leaders. Its supported by the distnets involved and the Utah State Board ol Education. According to Dr. Donald L. Wright, executive director ol BICEP: " vVe felt students needed tirsthand exposure to make satisfactory career decisions. Through BICEP. Ibis kind of interaction will become part of the school cur- riculum.' When in full operation, the progwill involve kindergarten through 121 h grade. By next fall, P.1CEP will oiler a live-folprogram to students and classroom speakers, teachers plant and office tours, training for a day, internships lor senior high students, career reference materials.
