Later in the second quarter, Todd Price recovered a Falcon fumble and flipped a lateral to Chad Roberts, who sprinted all the way for a TD that was nullified by an officials ruling that Prices otherwise-aler- t ex- change with Roberts was an illegal forward lateral. The Farmers were allowed to keep possession, however, and took over near midfield. Granite moved to the Falcon 31, but ended up punting on the last play of the half, which ended 21-- Clearfield received the second half kickoff but gave up the ball on downs, Granite regaining possession at the Falcon 39 with 9:25 left in the third. On two plays, Bradford and Hola gained a total of 20 yards, and after Katoa and Bradford teamed to pick up 18 more, Bradford went over from the one with 6:56 remaining in the period.
