Pending the outcome of tonights action at Judge, Cyprus may be involved in a coin flip with Uintah for top seeding. In the 4A ranks, defending state champion Olympus stamped itself as contender by drubbing previously unbeaten Skyline Tuesday night. The Titans were awaiting a coin flip with Cottonwood for second and third seeding from always tough Region Three. Cottonwood, most observers believe, has the talent to find itself in the finals. In 4A action the favorite nod has been granted to Weber, but Skyline is not being discounted. Region Two champion Hillcrest and Kearns as the second place team from Region Two, are seeded into Tuesdays second-roun- d action, along with the two favorites. Another Green Sheet area team is expected to be a factor in 4A play. That is Granite, which upset Olympus Thursday. The Farmers are a scrappy team which plays an unorthodox style of ball which is hard to adjust to. That could spell doom for Region One squads. Clearfield could be the first to make the discovery. In 3A play a young and talented Judge team, while not a favorite for title honors, could prove to be a dark horse. Many of the pairings for the tournaments had not been determined at press time. Following is a rundown of the Green Sheet entries: 3A The Pirates Cyprus. State Volleybaii Tourney In are coached by Pat Gannon who would like to see her squad improve on its fourth place finish of a year ago. In 9-- 1 pre-leagu- play the Pirates defeated Region Five champion West and lost a narrow decision to defending state champion Uintah. The Bucs have a wealth of experience and good size. Key players include Angie Nunley, Laurie Garrett, and Mari Kae Empey, all returning starters. Cyprus will open the tournament with either Davis or Woods Cross.
