The minor league Angels had a five-ru- n first inning to help earn a win over the White Sox in Kearns American League action this week. The Angels were paced by Troy Stroud, Casey Rasmussen and Mike Neilson who hit two singles each while winning pitcher Stan Leiter hit another for the victors. Sam Jensen and Jimmy Halliday each slugged two doubles in a losing cause for the White Sox. In major league action during the week the Tigers beat the Red 5 Sox and the Royals stomped the Indians 19-- and the Red Sox bombed the Tigers 10-In the minor league the White Sox won their game against the Mets; the Angels beat the Orioles the Senators clubbed the Yankees 15-the Yankees edged the Mets and the Angels beat the Senators 14-- 14-- 2 8-- 9-- 6 6-- the Dodgers topped the the Twins Expos shut out the Cardinals the Athletics clobbered the Astros 20-the Athletics won two 8-- victoya and a one-hi- t tory by hurler Johnny Walker led the Cardinals to three victories during the week in Babe Ruth league action.
