The courses, which will only be offered during the summer 2012 semester, will be full summer term classes hosted and taught on- 'X H M t fag, f5 Arts and Sciences Dean Mary Jane Chase, who has spearheaded the development of the new online program, said that the idea for adding online classes stemmed from students desire to take classes over the summer although they were unable to do so. Many students go home for the summer or they pick up summer jobs, she said oftentimes, students take classes from other schools and universities when they go home for the summer and have to transfer the credit. Why not make it so they can continue their Westminster experience from another state? Summer enrollment at Westminster continues to grow, highlighting the need for additional summer dasses. According to Banks, the thing that makes this project it a reality. special is the crew they will be riding with all season. All of the guys grew up riding, competing, and progressing together and ended up here in Salt Lake City, said Banks. For us, this isnt a job. Its the culmination of everything weve done together over the years. The Westminster students will be working together with Transworld Snowboarding, the nations longest running snowboarding magazine, to produce a series of webisodes throughout the winter. The webisodes will be released in five different segments throughout the season and will feature the students I CHECK US 0UT1 j tf Serious Opportunity For Baker and the rest of the guys this project is going to be one of many steps in a new direction of snowboarding, but they all believe that it is going to be a great opportunity. Its different because were releasing A footage instead of B footage. This is going to be a serious season long effort, Baker full-ti- me said. The project presents a great opportunity for the group to make a move into this new direction of snowboarding. Transworld Snowboarding has an amazing reach, and as their website has over 3.5 million unique visitors, the exposure is going to be monumental for the crew.
