Pauly Storrs took a group of Explorer Scouts to Clarks Valley rabbit hunting Saturday. The group included Stewart Bryan, Reggie' Peterson, Larry Christen' sen and Terry Brown. Aunt Kate Sevy of Orangeville was a guest for a week with Mr. and Mrs. Forbes Fail and family. She also enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner with them. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Smith and Glen had Thanksgiving dinner with their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Hansen of Kearns. Miss Charlotte Smith with her stayed the week-en- d uncle, Maurice (Joe) Smith of Orem. Members played Canasta and enjoyed a delightful luncheon of scalloped potatoes and pumpkin pie. A Z' Need for Workers in Utah Surpasses Demands of Year Ago Need for workers has surpassed a year ago for the past two weeks, and insured unemployment is now no higher than in 1957. Job offers for the week of November 22 were over 700, some 100 more than for the same week last year. Although unemployment is three per thousand more than for the week of November 15, the current ratio of 24 per thousand without work is now the same as last year. On a seasonally adjusted basis, unemployment now trails 1957, with the current jobless ration of 32 per thousand, one per thousand less than a year ago. , The week's layoffs, nearly'1,400, were up 600 from the week of November 15 (which had only four work days). Snow and low temperatures caused numerous layoffs in all outdoor activities, especially in construction.
