Show THE Page Eight Religion Theme Opens SUN-ADVOCA- Thursday, December 4, 1958 Christmas Season For Micre Adelphans SOCIETY and CLUB NOTES Micre Adelphe opened the Christmas season with a very interesting panel discussion on remembers atligion. Jack Houston was the very capmaster of ceremonies for this first party. Earl Hills, member of the finance committee, gave a brief history of the Country Club from its beginning, and in keeping with that introduction, Arnel Downard, present vice president, named all the past presidents who have served: Art Dalpiez, Joe Hamable mond, Moss Jeanselme, Dr. Roy Robinson, A. D. Keller, Hal G. MacKnight. Dr. Quinn Whiting, Dr. James Ruggeri and James Eer-gera. Current club president, Lem Shiner, gave a short talk about the building and the committees who have aded the project. The new golf pro, Grant Leavitt, and Arnie Purhonen, of Hays and Purchonen, architects of the structure, and their wives were special guests. A fine musical program was presented, including a trio of songs by contralto Diane Forsythe of Huntington; accordian selections by Tommy Perrero organ melodies by Harris B. Simonsen. Mr. Simonsen revised the words to .This Old House and, led by Kay Bunnell, the whole group sang, That Old Club. Lovely floral arrangements filled the six north windows of the building, and other flowers and plants contributed for the party enhanced the already beautiful rooms. After a buffet supper, the members danced to the music of Cal Jewkes orchestra. Mr. Simonsen also played organ dance music in one of the small lounges during the dancing. Each male member of the club was presented with a key to the building as he and his partner entered. The presentations were made by Mr. and Mrs. D. K. Downey and Mr. and Mrs. Theron Odendahl, of the house committee. The old country club building RETIRED OFFICER VISITS RELATIVES n Chief Storekeeper Clayton of the U.S. Navy has been in Price for several days before leaving this week for his home in Portsmouth, Virginia, where he will commence his retirement. He has been serving in Japan. In Price, Officer Magann was a guest of his aunt, Mrs. Nettie Sax and enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner here. CAMP PLANS HOLIDAY PARTY The annual Christmas party of the Sally Ann Olsen Camp of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers will bo held at the home of Mrs. Ben Ward next Thursday evening, December 11.
