Last week the teams participated in the Region Finals. The Girls Team came away with a gigantic victory against Richfield, defeating them 131 to 86. New records were set by NSHS Girls teams including: 1 New School Record in the 100 Meters: Tiffany, Waters, 2nd; Shauna Squires, 3rd place. New Region Record was set by the 4 x 100 Relay Team members included Beckie Hales, Shauna Squires, Heather Mason, Tiffany Waters. Other winners included: 200 Meters, Tiffany Waters, 2nd, Shauna Squires 3rd; 400 800 Me Open Today! A stop was made at Bicknell for those who wanted breakfast. The Burr Trail Trip enabled many of the seniors to see the beautiful section of our state for the first time. The Bullfrog stop was a revelation of the great growth being made at this resort area. Dinner was enjoyed at Hanksville. Another trip in this area is planned for June 8. Van trips to Grover to see the theatrical productions by the Hale Theatre are planned during the month of July. Annually, beginning on Mothers Day, a week of recognition and festivity are held to say thanks to the good people who give loving, professional care at the Center. Also, check your pressure canner. Fitzgerald was recently named Branch Chief, Engineering and Minerals for the Fishlake National Forest Supervisors office, Richfield. Ted comes from the Manti-LaSNational Forest where he served as an Assistant Forest Engineer for the last 12 years. He also worked for the Federal Highway Administration, Office of Direct Federal Projects, in Denver, CO.
