Show SETTING UP CAMP: Area mountains were filled with hunters from all over the state as the Elk season got underway. The weather cooperated, Billy Tanner, Senior Patrol Leader accepted the ribbons they won at Redmond News Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Anderson, Bountiful, and his sister Diane, visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Miles Anderson. They came for the naming and blessing of a niece, Cindy Lyn. Mr. and Mrs. Glendon Anderson had their baby daughter given a blessing Sunday. Her dad gave her the name of Cindy Lyn Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Scott Johnson, of Aurora visited her parents Mr. and Mrs. Jay Christensen, and her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Jensen, and came for the naming of a niece Allison. Laurie Jensen, Provo, and friend Ruel, also came for the blessing. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Anderson, Salt Lake, visited his parents Mr. and Mrs. Miles Anderson, and attended the blessing of Cindy Lyn. The also attended their high school reunion. Scott Wilkins was home from college visiting his parents Mr. and Mrs. Kendyl Wilkins. ft Ryan Lynn Williams was baptized and confirmed by his father, Burke. Grandma Williams, and Aunt and uncle Mr. and Mrs. Danny Woolsey, came for the occasion. LeAnn Bosshardt has received her mission call. She will be going to England. the Scout Camporee for his troop. They won several awards, including first place and blue ribbon. Valerie Hansen, Sandy, and her sister Sue Johnson, West Valley City, were home visiting their parents Mr. and Mrs. UDell Johnson. They also came for the funeral of their uncle Durell Mickelsen. Jody, of St. George, also came for the funeral, and to visit his parents. Karen Hansen, Mayfield, visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Miles Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Mason, Logan, visited her parents Mr. and Mrs. Merril Hampton, and came for the baptism and confirmation of a nephew, Ryan. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Staley, Coalville, visited their daughter Mr. and Mrs. Glendon Anderson, and came for granddaughter Cindy Lynns blessing. Raelyns brother, Clark Stanley, and sister, Terri, also came for the occasion. Mr. and Mrs. David Myrup, Salt Lake, visited her mother, Reva Sorensen. Their son, Brady, stayed to visit grandma for a few days. Veda Jensen spent a few days in Salt Lake visiting her daughter. Debbie Hales was home visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. Don Hales. KAREN RASMUSSEN and though cold, hunters found conditions nearly ideal. Success was 'fair to middlin but almost everyone enjoyed the hunt. Mr. and Mrs. Francis B. Winkel, of Freemont, CA, have been visiting friends in the area for a couple of weeks and also spent some time at St. George, their former mission headquarters. Erika Hernandez has been visiting her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Alma Thompson, while her parents are looking for a home in Billings, Champions of Nutrition is the theme of National School Lunch Week Invitations are being sent to parents asking them to join their elementary school students at lunch during the celebration. A universal menu, selected by the National Food Service, Assn., will be served Wednesday of that week, according to Karen Pace, child nutrition specialist for Sevier School District. Marathon Spaghetti, Maestro Tossed Salad, Blue Ribbon Fruit Choices, Honor Roll, Honey Oatmeal Raisin Cookie, and TLC Milk will be served at more than 90,000 schools across the nation that day. Meals will be $1.35 for adults, and $1 for visitors. Reservations must be made with each pre-scho- ol school. Our school lunch rooms are more than just filling stations for empty stomachs, Mrs. Pace said. School lunch supplies one third of a childs daily nutrition needs. First Mary Rasmussen Mary Ellen Westenskow Rasmussen, 88, died September 29, in Payson, Utah. She was born December 22, 1895 in Manti, to Peter and Anna Anderson Westenskow. She married Clayton Rasmussen, Sept. 27, 1915, later solemnized in the Manti Temple. Survivors include Clayton Hal Rasmussen, Spanish Fork; Helen R. McCullough, Las Vegas; Darlene R. Bartholomew, Fayette; Calvin Everett Rasmussen, Salt Lake; and Neal Rasmussen, Las Vegas. 17 grandchildren, 49 great grandchilgrandchildren. dren, 9 great-great Mary, as she was lovingly called, was a devoted member of the LDS church. She was an accomplished pianist, and shared her talents for many years in the Salina First Ward. She was active in the DUP organization. Interment was in the Eastside Cemetery, under the direction o i Warren R. Jensen Funeral Home. Beula Brown Beula Leona West Brown died October 3, 1984 at the home of her son, in Provo. She was born in Salina, December 12, 1900 to Charles Edmond West, M.D., and Emma Olsen West. She was married to George D. Brown, December 26, 1929 in Provo. She was educated in Salina and graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught school in Salina for ten years. She is survived by her husband, of Orem: son Charles E., of Provo; and daughter Georgea Moore, of Orem; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday in the Bonneville 1st Ward Chapel in Provo. Graveside Services and burial were at 2:30 p.m. in the Salina Eastside Cemetery, under the direction of Warren R. Jensen Funeral Home. Mason, 59, died October at his home in Aurora. Born February 5, 1925, in Venice, Utah, to Raymond and Wilma Avery Mason. He married Ruby Olcott, May 3, 1947 in Richfield. Later solemnized in the Manti Temple. Mr. Mason was former bishop of the Aurora Ward. He served on the Aurora Town Council and was active in many civic and church affairs. Survivors include his wife, of Aurora; two sons, two daughters, Richard, Los Alamos, NM; Maurice R., Orem; Mrs. Brian (Saundra) Burke, Farmington; Suzanne Mason, Los Angeles, CA; his parents, of Aurora; Brother, Lawrence, Aurora; Sister, Mrs. Roy (Erma) Anderson, Mayfield; 9 grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by a son, Sherril. Funeral services were under the direction of Springer-Turne- r Wilford Marcellus (Mar) Mickelsen, 89, died October 6, 1984 in Gunnison Valley Hospital. He was born February 14, 1895 in Giles, Utah, a son of Francis Charles and Christene Pederson Mickelsen. He married Leona Jensen June 17, 1925 in the Salt Lake Temple. She died October 29, 1983. He was active in the LDS Church, and was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Jay (Ella Lee) Lund, of Redmond; 2 grandchildren; 4 sister, Mrs. Delila Rasmussen, of Salt Lake. Funeral services were held October 9, in the Redmond Ward, with Bishop Niel Bosshardt conducting. Military rites were by Redmond American Legion.
