Baton, drama, dance and arts and crafts classes in the summer program will provide the program, titled Its A Small World. Some 125 children between the ages of four and 14 will participate. They were involved in the program at John Adams, Snow, Rees Pioneer Memorial, Lindsay and Foothill parks. Arts and crafts classes will present an exhibit of projects made during the summer and Michelle Jarret, crafts specialist, will present certificates of achievement to outstanding students in that area. Dance classes, under direction of Carol Payne, Cathy Mason and Kelie Swenson, will present numbers representing various cultures around the world. Each park will give a skit learned in drama classes and other special numbers are planned. Drama specialists are Shelly Williams and Shawna Nance. Baton classes have been practicing routines for the final , program and solos and duets as well as group numbers will be demonstrated. Baton specialists are Julie Christensen and Tami Mullins. Park supervisors Lucy Kerr and Jim Fuller encourage all parents and interested persons to come out and watch the program. A full junior bowling program is planned for youngsters seven years old and up. Leagues will be formed for women, men, mixed doubles and senior citizens. A new program for executives and professional people will be initiated this season. Ryan Jensen and Richard Scothem tied for the Cougars, John Brittain had the most for the Eagles and Steve Child paced the Gulls. Chad Abel had the most runs scored for the Cougars, Todd Moffitt the most scored for the Eagles and Grant Child the most for the Gulls. Coach Jimm Fuller expressed his appreciation to the boys for their turnout.
