Anderson, Manager of the Federal Land Bank association of Tremonton, announced today a reduction of the federal Land Bank of Berk- interest rate eleys new-loa- n from S.7S percent to 8.5 percent effective Jan. 1. Other reductions are on farm and ranch loans and from 9.25 percent to 9.0 percent on rural residence and business loans. The reduced rates will apply to existing loans that are subject to adjustment farm-related- -t under the terms of the Land banks variable interest rate plan to all new loans. It is probably the busiest week of the year, but at no other time of the year is there so much gaiety in each home. One of our favorite evenings during the holidays is to ride around town and see the beautiful decorations so many fake time to put Christ-- $ f ' up and see the lighted mas trees in each home. Also at this time of the year when everyone is the busiest, it seems that people are the most friendly. It is that special Christmas season...despite the fact that there is no snow. I, too, am dreaming of a White Christmas, lets hope we have' one. ' k Special Thing AnotQr special thing 'this time of the year is all the many, many Christmas parties that are held. It seems like no matter' how busy we are, there is still time for a party or two. ' The community of Perry will hold a very special town party next Wednesday evening, Dec. 22. The evenings events will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a special program at the Perry Elemen-tr- y school room. se Following the short program Santa will arrive to pass out a sack of candy to each resident of Perry. The Perry Second ward Primary officers and teachers held their traditional Christmas party with their partners on Dec. 3 in the ward cultural hall. The evening began with a dinner and then was followed by a social evening of square dancing. All the officers, teachers and their partners who attended reported having a very enjoyable time. The youth of the Perry First The De-O- rr Aaronic Priesthood and Young Women were hosts at a very outstanding evening on Tuesday. They held their V.I.P. dinner at which time they served a lovely roast beef dinner with all the trimmings to some very special, Very Important People. of the Perry First ward. Special Evening This is such a special evening for the youth to share their many talents with those they feel are so special in the ward. The Perry First ward Elders are holding a Christmas party on Friday evening with their partners. This sounds like a real fun evening and those who attend will get a boast in getting injo the Christmas spirit. Mrs. Bertha Wight celebrated her 80th birthday on Dec. 5 with an open house at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Arlene) Wright. A large numer of friends and relatives stopped in during the Birthday Cake Receiving special attention was a beautiful birthday cake with an 80 sitting on top of the cake. The guests were served refreshments.
