I don't feel that way, I love to send cards and get them. Then, too, thats the only time I feel moved to write a letter to some of my old friends. So, it costs a little more to send a card these days, you know someone really considers you a friend if he thinks of you this year. But Ive always maintained as Emerson said, "The only way to have a friend is to be one. Im sure I can snitch a little on the food budget and squeeze out enough money for the postage. They are gracious and hospitable and will go an extra mile for a friend. Dell invited the Valasquez family to visit his home in Bothwell and Sheny and her daughter Lenora have been spending the past week at the Stokes home. Old Tradition on Nov. 1 it's an old tradition to serve which is a complete meal for an entire year fiambre chili in the family. She admitted, "Without special hot center it just wouldnt be fiambre. ' This is an expensive dish which is possibly the reason the people in Guatemala only serve it once each year. While at the Stokes home Sheny prepared this elaborate dish which she displays in todays Box Elder Journal. At home she garnishes it with white lettuce around the edges in preference of using parsley. Through Dell as an interpreter it was interesting to ask questions which Dell in turn would ask Sheny in her native language. Each time Sheny would give a little whistle and throw up her hands before answering. She is a vivacious little lady and insists, "I Indlan-Spanls- h not Spanish-Indian- !
