Garfield attend ed a family party at the home of Mrs. June Garfields mother Mrs. Sylvia Cordon in Ogden Sunday. The occasion was Mrs. Cordons 85th birthday anniversary. Eighty family members gathered, some coming from Kennewick, Wash; Cincinnati, Ohio; Pocatello,' Provo and Salt Lake City. A planned pot luck dinner was enjoyed. Mrs. Cordon was espeically delighted when she received by mail a lovely engraved greeting card personally signed by President and Mrs. Gerald R. Ford. Mrs. Mozel Hess returned home Saturday morning after a k special assignment in Victorville, Calif; for the Telephone Company. Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Don Hess and daughter Delerie accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Ballard Harris of Ogden at- tended a John W. Hess reunion held in Farmington. The group enjoyed dinner at Lagoon. Mrs. Leslie Post of Moses week. Mrs. Letha Stenquist visited her sister Mrs. Pheobe Pinder in College ward during the week. Arriving from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to spend three weeks visiting Mr. and Mrs. Leland Harris are their and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Alvin (Claudia) Johnston and children Trevor and Shauna. Also visiting at the Harris home is Mrs. Robert Harris and daughter Becky of Mountain View, Calif. Robert Harris is on a special assignment connected with his work in Vienna, Austria. Mrs. Harris and Becky son-in-la- w Con-tinent- are also spending sometime visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. Garney Able. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Otto Brockman during the week were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hansen of Huntington Beach, Lake has been visiting her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Jess Garfield. While here they all visited Mr. and Mrs. Bob Arbon and family in Logan. Mrs. LaVon Garfield, Mrs. Leslie Post accompanied by Mrs. Dona Bowcutt of Garland and Mrs. Deanna Arbon of Logan spent a day in Salt Lake City during the week and enjoyed dinner at a downtown res- Calif. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Edward Stark had as their guests Mrs. Edward Stark Jr. and sons Todd and Lee of Ogden. Todd is recuperating following an accident which occured in Preston sometime ago when he was run over by a truck. He is in a body cast, but reported to be getting along nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Trent Thompson have returned after spending a week camping at Black-foRiver at Soda Springs. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Bunnell were overnight guests of their granddaughter Mrs. pavid and her husband and family in Green River, Wyo; last week. They also attended an open house for Mr. and Mrs. Steve Himle at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Litchfield in Boulder, Colo. Mrs. Himle, the former Becky Ann Litchfield is a granddaughter of the Bunnells. They visited Mrs. Bunnells aunt Mrs. Veda Sowards who is seriously ill in LaJara and with relatives in Manassa. Returning by way of Moab they visited Grand County Superintendent Bill Meador and toured Moab Area Vocational School with him. Mr. Bunnell was the coordinator of the building of the Vocational school and spent a year in Moab planning the facility and classes to be taught, rhey remained overnight with their son Duane Bunnell and his family in Provo and visited Mr. Four candidates who will be seeking party nominations for the Utah State House of Representatives in the Sept. 14 primary election are scheduled to address local area senior citizens Friday. Their Baby Boy Sunday evening Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Bunnell received a phone call from their daughter Mrs. Linae Foutz of Las Vegas announcing the arrival of a baby boy born to Mr. and Mrs. David (Ellen Foutz) Sinquefield in Provo. The baby is the second grandchild for Mr. and Mrs. Hal (Linae) Foutz and the second great grandchild of Mr. and Mrs. Bunnell. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Harris were Mr. and Mrs. Gary Bailey and children Carrie and Jeff of Bountiful. . Next Trip A Lava Hot Springs trip is next on Sept. 8. Participants will leave the center at 8:30 a.m. Luncheon will be purchased by the group for $1 per person. After the luncheon, the group will swim and view the resort. Sixty persons have signed for the trip and will travel on the Roadrunner and Jolly Jaunter. A station wagon could be taken if necessary. Charge for transportation will be $1.50.
