Carol Pettingill and son John of Toppehish, Wash, visited from Wednesday until Saturday with Carol's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Harris and other Mr. and Mrs. Devere Harris attended funeral services for Merlin Cottle at Pocatello Tuesday. From there they visited at Rexburg with their and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Craig Smith and daughter, Ami. They spent that night at their trailer home at Henry's Lake and returned to their home Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Thomas attended conference at the Salt Lake Granger North Stake Sunday where their son Stanley Thomas was sustained as alternate high counselor. Stanley is married to the former Winnie Holmstead and they are the parents of two sons and one daughter. He is a math teacher at the John F. Kennedy Junior high school. They reside at son Gary of Canoga Park, Calif, and Mrs. Bensons mother, Mrs. Louise Allen of Ogden spent the past week here at Mrs. Allens home. They visited with relatives and friends and went to Ogden Thursday to visit with Mrs. Bensons sisters before home. . relatives and friends. They brought Paula Fae Pettingill to Rexburg where she registered at Ricks college Mr. and Mrs. Gus Benson and Weekend Here Mr. and Mrs. Murray Hoskins Of Clearfield and Murrays sister, Mrs. Vivian Ashby of Philomath, Ore. spent the weekend here at the Hoskins home. Dr. Darrell E, Rose of Rochester, Minn., visited with friends here and attended Sacrament meeting in this ward Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Wiser of Eden, Idaho spent the weekend as guests of Mrs. Wisers parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester P. Neal. Mr. and Mrs. Roland Hall of Salt Lake City spent the weekend here visiting with friends and relatives on their way home from an Idaho vacation. s. Tomlin of Colorado Springs visited Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pierson during the week. Overnight guests of Mrs. Nina Lamb Friday were Mr. and Mrs. Tom Grill and son John of Ogden and their houseguests Mr. and Mrs. Dale Voisard of Fort Worth, Texas. Gloria Gleed, Maude Harris and Carol Pettingill and son John enjoyed dinner together at Logan Wednesday. Mrs. Esther John, Mrs. E. Wynn John, daughters, Marlene, Mary Ann and. Melanie visited with Glen Morris at the U of U Medical Center in Salt Lake City Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Phil R. Harris and family of Salt Lake City were Saturday dinner guests and spent the day with Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Harris and Mrs. LeeRoy Pettingill and son John of Toppenish, Wash. The River Heights ward held a leadership conference Saturday at the summer home of Mr. Mrs. Rose Harris, widow of the late Frank Harris resides in Salt Lake City and spends a few weeks at her home here in the summer time. She is enjoying 42 of her family members who have arrived and are having a reunion this week. Among those attending are her six children, Maxine Richards of San Mario, Calif., Elaine Alford and Dorraine (Ace) Harris, Las Vegas, Nev., Carolyn Grace, Belmont, Calif., Clinton Harris, Burbank, Calif., and Norman Harris, Kearns, their spouses and families. The group are living in trailer houses, campers and tents and are enjoying visiting and other and Mrs. Devere Harris at . activities. Word has been received by relatives here that Mrs. Pearl Hawks who resides in Ogden received treatment at the U of U Medical Center in Salt Lake City from Sunday until Wednesday. She was treated for a heart ailment.
