Mrs. Elma Petersen accompanied them to Sacramento to spend a few weeks vacationing. Saturday Mrs. Elma Petersen and her houseguests Mr. and Mrs. Glen Petersen and daughter Angela along with Mr. and Mrs. Milton Bywater and family and Mr. and Mrs. Alan Gardner and daughter Jennifer (of Logan) attended a Christensen reunion held at the Dewey-vill- e park. Approximately 179 family members attended. President and Mrs. Donald Petersen spent several days of last week at Sweetwater and Jackson Hole vacationing. The occasion was their 25th wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Burton visited during the past week with Mr. and Mr. H.R. Peterson and family and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Orton and family in Salt Lake City, John Sjoblom in a cook-ou- t at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Kent and family. Others attending were Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Kent and son of Tremonton, Mr. and Mrs. Rick Kent and daughters of Fielding. Mrs. Janet Adams attended a Tupperware managers meeting held in Salt Lake City Monday. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Munson and family Monday afternoon was Theron Godfrey of Logan. Pay and Mrs. Hansen are cousins. Mr. and Mrs. DeVere Adams and family attended the horse show held at the fairgrounds in Logan Saturday. Wednesday Mrs. Sara Moss accompanied by her granddaughter Penny Moss of Tremonton spent the day in Ogden. They enjoyed dinner at the Chuck-O-Ram- a. Mrs. Helen Mason, Mrs. Holt and Mrs. Melba Hess visited Mrs. Donetta Petersen in the Logan hospital ie Luncheon Guests Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Mason were luncheon guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Terry Lewis and family attended a Shes Recovering Mrs. Maxiene Garn returned home Thursday after having surgery at the McKay hospital in Ogden. City couple Tax facts schedules published homocoming The Utah Taxpayers association again has prepared and distributed its annual tax sumthumbnail mary, a pocket-size- d sketch of how each of the state's taxes affect Utah taxpayers. The UTA booklet shows that Beehive state residents pay approximately $890 million in various taxes of one sort or another, and this does not include such fees and charges as $11.5 million in liquor profits, and other state taxes such as driver's education, fish and game licenses, and special agricultural fees. The booklet briefly describes the 22 major taxes collected in the state, how they are assessed, the exemptions, rates, statutory references, and the all the actual money yields way from the $15,163 collected in studded tire tax, to the $208,132,000 in total property taxes. Also described is the new state income tax law passed by the last legislature. The change cuts all rates by 4 percent. Numerous exemptions are also listed. David was injured in a motorcycle accident a short time ago and has been receiving care in the hospital in Rock Springs.
