Show Open house to honor Willard resident, 86 Mrs. Vennia France Keyes, 98 North Main, Willard, will be honored by her family at an open house on Sunday, Nov. 16, in observance of her 86th birthday. Friends and relatives are invited to visit her at her home between the hours of 2 and 6 p.m. Mrs. Keyes was born Nov. 16, 1889, at Centerville, Utah, a daughter of William W. and Julie Haight France. She was married to James A. Keyes on Jan. 16, 1907. She is the mother of eight living sons and daughters. They are Mrs. Melvin (Ardella K. ) Smith, Mrs. Lenora K. Hill, and Theron R. Keyes of Ogden; Theo J. Keyes of Pleasant View; Chester F. Keyes of Willard; Mrs. Leo (Shirley K.) Thompson of Burley, Idaho; Mrs. Delores K. Judson of Sunset, and Dale A. Keyes of Nibley. Mrs. Keyes is a member of the LDS church and has worked in the Sunday school, Primary and Relief society and has been a visiting teacher for over 30 years. Her special interests have been sewing, quilting, crocheting and helping to administer to the sick. Plans have been made here at Bear River High school to get involved and help in any way it can. Betty Bones Third hour openings announced drama class, Burr Dallofs Box Elder School district this week announced three teacher openings at elementary schools. These include learning disabilities at Mountain View school in Brigham City; second grade at North Park and second grade at McKinley school in Tremonton. Wood: Red Cross at 91, signing up new class still lively Persons interested in the Red Cross advanced first 'aid and' care instructor emergency course during the week of Dec. 8 are asked to call the Red Cross he's Qualifications for the instructors course are an advanced first aid and emergency care card. A spokesman for the Red Cross said a number of people have expressed interest in taking such a course, but no registration list has been filled. We encourage anyone who wishes this course to please call the Red Cross as soon as possible, said the spokesman. Wild game dinner and dance for Eagles Saturday A wild game dinner and dance are on tap for Saturday night at of the 7 p.m. at the aerie Fraternal Order of Eagles in Brigham City. Drama and debate classes will provide the victims. The drama class will distribute members throughout the town as though they had been injured. Tremonton City ambulances will take them to the Bear River Valley hospital where they will be cared for. The debate class will be positioned in different classrooms of the high school and junior high as victims of the earthquake. During the late afternoon his grandchildren and great grandchildren will visit him briefly and enjoy birthday cake and ice cream. Wood was born in Farming-ton- , but came to Fielding as a young man where he has spent his entire life. Brigham City, Utah November 13, 1975 Thursday, Karens Kolumn at senior center A dance is scheduled this evening (Thursday) at the Brigham City Community center as part of the weekly senior citizens activities locally. The event, open to all adults of the community, is scheduled at 7:30 p.m. with bingo and potluck also planned. Admission will be free. The weekly Friday noon luncheon also is on tap this week beginning at 12 noon. The menu will include fish, squash, salad, rolls and dessert for 70 cents. Her father is in South America doing graduate work. Also in attendance were Miss Maureen Bingham of Malad, Idaho, and Miss Katheryn Bingham. Following the services the family were dinner guests of Wesley Nelson. Steven Newman was sustained as the new president of the APYW Sunday. Max Hull was released from the position. Cindy Newman was sustained as a member of the service and activity committee. She replaced Anita Kilfoyle. The occasion was the baptism and confirmation of Miss Janie Summers. The family reported a most enjoyable time. Homemaking day for the Bothwell Ward Relief society has been changed to Nov. 18. Sandy Stoddard will be attendance to help the ladies make dolls and doll lamps. Nov. 11 will be the social relations lesson given by Jeannette Roberts and the mother education lesson given by Linda Summers. All Relief society members should note the change. Dallas Stokes, Howard Stokes, Joe Stokes, Lee Stokes and Verle Stokes drove to California Thursday where they attended funeral services for a brother-in-law- , Odell Redford at Napa, Calif. Mr. Redford was the husband of Leona Stokes Redford. The men returned home on Sunday. Mrs. LaRaine Harris and Mrs. DeLon Stokes drove to Logan Friday where they visited Mrs. Nettie Lott and Stephanie Hull in the Logan hospital. Mrs. Lott came to her Bothwell home Sunday and Stephanie was released to come home on Saturday. Halloween Party Mr. and Mrs. Deloris Stokes and Mr. and Mrs. Dee Brown entertained at a Halloween party at the Stokes home in Bothwell. Many friends of Reed Stokes and Julie Brown were in attendance. The group of young people enjoyed playing games and a delicious luncheon. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Palmer of Logan spent the weekend at the Deloris Stokes home in Bothwell. Mrs. Nerine Forsgren had the misfortune of falling and breaking her arm. She is reported recovering at home.
