Mrs. Dona Bowcutt and Mrs. Jennie Gephart spent Monday in Salt Lake City visiting Mrs. Louise former Gephart, Tremonton resident at Midgely Nursing Home. The Civic and Home Arts Club will meet tonight (Thursday) at 8 p.m. in the Community Center in the Garland with Library Mrs. Kathy Potter, club president conducting. Art Redding Democratic candidate for Box Elder County Sheriff will be the guest speaker. Reports will be given by Yvette White and Raleen Johnson who attended Girls State at USU in Logan. Hostesses for the evening will be Mrs. Catherine Limb and Mrs. Ruth Shumway. Members are urged to attend. Dinner guests of Mrs. Jennie Gephart Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Bob Gephart and children of Bountiful. Mr. and Mrs. Visiting Leonard Bishop and Mrs. Travel to Idaho and Mrs. Errall Bone spent several days of last week at Lava Hot Springs. Saturday they had as their guests Mr. and Mrs. Robert Poole of Murray and Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Jensen of Bountiful. Sunday Mr. visitors at the Bone home were Mr. and Mrs. Dwane Mecham of Layton. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Davis during the week were Mr. and Mrs. Kent Matney of Oakland, Calif; Heber Olsen of Logan and Ralph Williams of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Marriott accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hales and family of Tremonton attended the Peach Day Parade in Brigham City Saturday. Mrs. Cecil McCrary of Idaho Falls, Idaho has been spending the past week visiting her brother-in-laand sister Mr. and Mrs. Ellery Hall. Thursday she accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Jerald Connell who were returning frhm Salt Lake City to her home. Dinner Party Held Enjoying a dinner party at Sherwood Hills in Sardine Canyon Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. W. Lee Thompson. They were joined by Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Didericksen and family of Grantsville, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Jaussi and family of Corinne and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Didericksen and daughter Angela of Centerville. The occasion was Mr. and Mrs. Thompsons 49th wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. V. W. Johns were guests of Mr. and Mrs. and Mrs. Mearl Bair in Providence Sunday and later reported experiences of their South America LDS Mission in a Fireside held in the church building following sacrament meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Garn and family were at the Salt Lake airport Tuesday to bid good-byto their son Steve Garn who has been at the language training school in Provo prior to leaving fora LDS Mission in Minnesota. Friday Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brown were dinner guests at the home of their and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Bent Jonsson and family in Kaysville after which they all attended the Ice Follies in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Brown remained as overnight guests at the Jonsson home and on Saturday visited Mr. and Mrs. K. Mel Ward and family in Kaysville before returning home. Tuesday Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brown accompanied by Mrs. Catherine Stallings and Mrs. Olga Graham of Eden left for a few days in Yellowstone Park. Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Rex Jensen visited Rexs father M V. Jensen in Shelley, Idaho. Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Jensen were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jensen and daughter Tara and Michael Jensen of Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Waldron left Friday for their home in Long Beach, Calif., after spending the past three weeks visiting Mrs. Fern Huish and other relatives in this area. Mr. son-in-la- Visit With Mother Steve Shumway of Provo and Jeff Shumway of Salt Lake City spent the weekend visiting their mother Mrs. James Shumway and family. Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Pierson and grandchildren Rebecca and Suzette Pierson, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Atkinson attended a George Godfrey reunion held in Willow Park in Logan Sunday. A picnic luncheon was enjoyed followed by a program. The group later met in Clarkston where members of the original family helped relive memories of the past. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. O. C. The young people and the adults had a riot. First they had a rousing game of baseball with all participating, then they all assembled for a good feast after which they all joined in trying to play like the pros in a football game in the mud. If my two kids and the mud they brought home on them and their clothes were any example of the fun they must have really had a good time. The officers were especially pleased by the big turn out for the kick off of a new season in MIA. Mr. and Mrs. Merwin Christensen of Tremonton and Deo Johnsen drove to Tonys Grove last Wednesday. On Thursday they were joined by Freda Barker and Lois Ward. After school on Friday Keith and Todd Johnsen, Bobbie Barker, Harold and Lori 'Ward and Brenda Davis joined the group. Saturday Mark Johnsen, Chris and Connie Barker and baby showed up. Then on Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Duane Ward appeared. They held Sunday morning church services at lake side. Afterwards they took a ride down the canyon to Fork to visit Old Ephraims grave. Ephraim is a bear and they have a rock about his original size as a monument to him. The time was spent canoeing and hiking and of course eating, and as always the food tasted much better up in the clear air of the mountains. Enjoy Vacation Stanley and Romaine Jensen and son Todd returned Labor Day- after having spent the preceding week in Glacier National Park and seeing Canadian points of interest. They report having had a enjoyable time. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Wilson of Tremonton, Mr. and Mrs. Dee Ramsdell and Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Ramsdell spent the weekend fishing on Grays River in Wyoming. S. Anderson left Mary Wednesday afternoon for Preston, Idaho where she spent the night with her daughter and husband the Wayne Merrills. Early Thursday morning the three left for Denver, Colo, to visit with Mr. and Mrs. David Merrill and the new granddaughter of Reva and Wayne, of and the Hold Quilting Bee Last Tuesday a quilting bee was held at the home of Mrs. Lee Johnsen to do a quilt for her daugher Pam. The ladies who came out to help were Pams grandmother LaVon Dallin, Mary Anderson, Dollie Iverson, Wanda Johnsen, Arva Archibald, Clytie Anderson, Lurleen Anderson. One of the reasons for the trip was to meet their new grandson Tyler Scott Pella. Their Scott Pella has been called to served stake mission on the island while he has also been stationed there with the military. His tour of duty will be Mr. son-in-la- ones. He also stated it would take this entire column to keep up with his activities because he visited in five counties last week in connection with his work. They had a wedding cake and the hall was decorated in two shades of blue which happened to have been the color scheme when they had their civil wedding ceremony.
