Show BOX ELDER JOURNAL, Brigham City, a Good Cooks Dream house' with love Party Line by Flo M union If you havent had the opportunity of visiting Mr. and Mrs. Myron (Nancy Burtcher) Barlow in their lovely new home at 1203 Michelle Dr. in Brigham City, you have indeed missed a treat. This home is one of the most outstanding and elegant in Box Elder county or probably the entire state. Nancy was born in Gallup, N.M. Her parents along with their family moved to Brigham City when Nancy was only six months old. She remembers her father was so impressed with the good, cold water in this Vacation at Cabin Aug. 10 the ready riders spent the day at their leader Jane Jacksons summer cabin in Logan canyon. Several fun games were played, plenty of good food was served, and a hike topped off the day. It was a very enjoyable day. area. After graduating from Box Elder High school and LDS seminary, Nancy attended Utah State university in Logan for two years. She was employed as a wig stylist in a popular shop in Salt Lake City when she met her husband. Owns Company Myron is owner and operator of the Dr. Pepper Bottling company in Brigham City. He also knows all the plumbing secrets. The Barlows adore their two little daughters Tiffany Ann, 7, and Jennifer, just old. Myron stopped by while I was there and although Jennifer was asleep in her own private nursery (a nursery like you see in fabulous fairy tales) her Dad couldnt resist cradeling her in his arms as he took me on a tour of their lovely, lovely home. It seems Nancy and Myron made plans well in advance and designed their home just exactly the way they wished it to be Myron being excelled as both plumber and carpenter did a good deal of the work himself. The finished construction is one of beauty and elegance. What fortunate children Tiffany Ann and Jennifer are to grow up in the atmosphere of a dream house filled with love. Do Well Mrs. Myron Barlow and daughter, Tiffany Ann ...bakes own bread, rolls Nancy has served as Primary teacher, president and leader. She has also served as a teacher in Sunday school. She is a member of the Civic club. Nancy and Myron enjoy skiing and golfing. Nancy also enjoys sewing, crocheting and loves to cook. I make my own bread and rolls and especially like she said. My to experiment with new recipes husband is my best critic." Myron admitted, My mother is an excellent cook, but Nancy can make better rolls. Her hot fudge sauce is a favorite of mine. Shakespeare Peach Days are over and I cant help feeling somewhere along the way weve lost that certain spark that used to make it so special. I guess part of it could be Im getting older. I know a bunch of kids that brought home a lot of stuffed animals and such from the carnival and loved it. Gee, they drop something from the celebration every year. I didnt have my glasses on and nearly missed the fruit display. That was such a big attraction I hate to see it get lost m changes. Why I know a lot of folks that come home just to see that display. In fact we drove past twice before I saw it. I missed it the first time. One thing that held up the old tradition was the lovely Peach Queen and her royalty. Ive heard she is as nice as she is beautiful. She has to be that way with such a nice dad and mom. So now how about pulling up that old easy chair and Ill tell you about some of the folks who were around for the weekend. Was Winner One of the most popular spots I saw during the celebration was the picture display in Comptons window. I talked to Glen and asked him who took the time and arranged the pictures. He told me his mother, Pearl picked out the old prints. We only stopped briefly because there were so many standing around hoping to get a chance to see. You could easily spend an hour or two picking out old friends. I did have a chance to say hello to Mrs. Hazel Bott and Mrs. Marie Ward. It wa? good to see Mrs. Mary Holman and her daughter Mrs. Mary Lou Call and chat with them. I hadnt seen Mrs. Helen (Speikerman) Krider of Salt Lake City for years and years and enjoyed visiting a minute yvith her. Said hello to Mr. and Mrs. Claire Bailey and saw the Lamont Glovers just moving in for a glimpse of the prints. Got a kick out of the photo display of Charles Riley Nelson Esq. as he signed himself. I especially liked that picture of an angleworm. All the window displays were so interesting. We didnt get as far as the Community Center to see the flower show and art (Dorothy Knudson) Mason who came with her daughter Mrs. Frank (Verabel) Henrech and old Franklin to spend Peach Days with her folks the P.C.
