Mrs. Charles (Jeanne) Wilson called Party Line the other day to report she had been named president of the late William and Lydia Lathrop Draper family organization at a Draper family reunion recently. Go Home Mr. and Mrs. Brent Hill and children Robert and Wendy left Sunday for their home in Memphis, Tenn. after a busy vacation here. She and the children spent a month 'in Utah and he arrived for the last two weeks of their stay. While they were in Brigham d City they were houseguests of Mr. and Mrs. Kent . L. Jensen and when they were in Ogden they were houseguests of his sister and brother-in-laMr. and Mrs. Ron Meacham. - Her aunt and uncle Mr. and Mrs. George Carver of Ogden entertained at a barbecue in r their garden for the Hills, Mrs. and Diana Hammerland Margaret, Mrs. Harry Smith, the Kent Jensens and Steve of this city. The Kent Jensens entertained at a family dinner at the Idle Isle. : Mrs. Hill and children, Mrs. Harry Smith and Mrs. Diana Hammerland and her daughter Margaret traveled to Centerville and spent a day with Mrs. Glen Oman. Mrs. Hill was guest for luncheon of her grandmother Mrs. Harry Smith :at the Brigham Country Club .and she had lunch in Ogden with three old school chums, Mrs. Larry (Susan) Yates, Mrs. Craig (Terry) Torman, Ogden, and Mrs. Dee (Linda) Cottam of Salt Lake City. The Hills attended a family reunion one weekend in Afton, Wyo. and were guests of his parents the Lowell Hills of Ogden at a garden buffet for friends in Ogden and joined his and family at a dinner at the Ron Meachams. her parents and at the home of the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Swenson. Officiating in the wedding ceremony was Bishop Jay Hall of the Fourteenth LDS ward. Among the guests were close relatives and friends of the bride and bridegroom. A wedding buffet was served to all in attendance the following ceremony. A reception honoring the couple was held on Friday, Aug. 16, at the Brigham City Fourteenth LDS ward. For her wedding and reception, the bride wore a gown of imported white silk and silver lamae brocade with a chapel length bridal illusion Mr. and Mrs. Hershel Wade and family and Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Funk of Logan spent Labor Day enjoying the attractions at Lagoon. Mr. and Mrs. John Stephensen have named their new baby boy Boyd James. He was born on July 29 and weighed seven and a half pounds. Great grandparents are Mrs. May Pope, Blackfoot, Idaho, and Clar Clarsen, Murray. Briefing You The long Labor day weekend was a good time to have that last fling of summertime. Mr. and Mrs. John Kendall took their children Richard, Donna, Irene and Pamela and joined Mr. and Mrs. Robert Winfield and their children, Aleena, Robbie and Vickie for a whirlwind four-da- y trip to Southern California. The Winfields stopped in San Bernardino to visit friends and the Kendalls traveled on to Disneyland where they spent a delightful day and a half enjoying the fabulous attractions of that popular carnival. From there they went on to Los Angeles and then retraced their steps to San Bernardino where they picked up the Winfields and continued on home. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Wood took advantage of the holiday and traveled to Montpelier, Swenson Aug. 15, in a garden ceremony - again stopped overnight Kristie Charles F. Bond recited marriage vows on Thursday, veil. Attend Bride Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Kathie Thomas, and her sister Karie Swenson was maid of honor. The newlyweds will be living in Mt. Home, Idaho, where the bridegroom is stationed at Mountain Home Air Force base. The Regional YWMIA bake is scheduled for Saturday Sept. 7 in the old Brigham hotel on Forest Street.
