Show 19 Utah Thursday, November '29, 1973 BOX ELDER JOURNAL, Brigham City, Honeyville Hotline Local ward has new bishopric by Sharon Coleman Honeyville LDS ward now has services which were held during Sacrament meeting last Sunday evening. Bishop D. Dee Hortin, and his counselors Thomas D. Hun-sakand D. Frank Tolman were released by President Vernon Allred, of Box Elder North stake. Called to fill the responsibilities as spiritual heads of the ward were Bishop Gerald Arden Larsen and Counselors Boyd Kent Gardner and Gary Richard Stacy. George Harper. Mr. and Mrs. David Forsgren entertained Mrs. Forsgren's mother, Mrs. Phyllis Worthington, and son Jimmy. Also present were Davids mother and Pauline and Leon Odell. Richard Forsgren, Davids brother, was also able to visit with the family. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Madsen spent Thanksgiving week visiting with their daughter Marie and her husband Paul Hyde, of Salem, Ore. Ruth O. Hunsaker enjoyed the traditional bird and all the trimmings in the company of Jay and Joan Stokes and family of Tremonton. Miss Donna Ellis visited in the home of her mother, Mary Ellis. Donna makes her home in Ogden, where she is a member h of the ward. Morrell and Elaine Hunsaker hosted a Thanksgiving which featured. Craig and Janet Billings, of Las step-fathe- r, Retains Position The ward clerk is Fred Bingham, who will retain that position. He will be assisted by DeVern J. Rasmussen. Also called to assume secretarial duties were Claire D. Scott and Abran Roberto Garcia. A day of fasting and prayer was held on Tuesday in honor of Bishop D. Dee Hortin, who has entered the LDS hospital in Salt Lake City for major surgery on his leg. He was injured several years ago in an accident. The Honeyville ward members extend best wishes to Bishop Hortin, Hunsaker and Tolman for their leadership in the past. The traditional Thanksgiving Day dinner was featured in several Honeyville homes. The Hunsaker family gathered for their dinner at the ward church building, in keeping with a tradition dating back more than 20 years. Attend Event Attending this yearly event were: Ralph and Laura Tolman and family. Mr. and Mrs. D. Frank Tolman and Cleo, Brent, Michael, and Mindy, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Tolman, and family, Bob and Ellen Wallace, Scott and and Kathy Tolman daughters, Nellie Molgard and son Jack, Kent and Pamela Molgard and daughter Amy, and Max and Betty Molgard and daughter Michelle. i Also attending were: . Mary LaRae Hunsaker and Steve Packman, Dell and Phyllis Hunsaker, Brigham City; Willie and Betty Hunsaker and children Harriett, Georgia, Vickie and Staci; Mrs. Sylvia Hunsaker, Marue and Bryan Sparks and family. Each family was assigned portions of the meal, with all contributing toward the cost of the turkey. Home Movies Home movies, a yearly feature of the event, recalled memories of past dinners. Movies were also taken this year to be shown again at some distant date. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Adams and family for the holiday were: Arvil Adams, Jerrys father, and sisters Vicki and Diana and their children. Guests in the home of Jack and Mildred Harper were: Mr. and Mrs. Darren Critchfield e and family of Oakley, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs. Ronaldo Harper and family of South Weber; Dennis and Vicki Harper and children of Honeyville, and Mr. a new bishopric, following Fifty-sevent- Vegas; Paul and Barbara Hunsaker, Lewis and Joyce HamberlinallofOrem; and Mr. ' and Mrs. Orland Hunsaker, of Brigham City. Mr. and Mrs. Varsel Chlarson were the hosts for Lyman Chlarson; Marsha and Steve Bourne and daughters of Salt Lake City; daughter Julie Chlarson of Ogden, and her friend Scott Smedley; Don and Donna Hunsaker and Scott, Jerie, and Machelle, all of Salt Lake City: Rex and Paula Chlarson and family and Ted and Judy Chlarson and family. The Hunsakers' son Brad has been serving a mission in Mexico, and will be returning home this week. Bobby and Susan Orme were the guests of Robert and Grace Orme and family. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wheatly, Brigham City, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bawden, Granger, were guests in the home of Rodney and Peggy Nelson. Daughter Nancy ..Nelson was runner-u- p attendant at the Harvest Ball queen competition last week. Visiting in the home of Johnnie and Ree Hunsaker were: Neal Hunsaker and daughters Kathy, Geneil, and Denine. They traveled from their home near South Lake Tahoe, Calif.. Pheasant Hunt Also returning to the Hunsaker home for a visit were Mr. and Mrs. Travis Hunsaker and Dennis, Jackie and Danny, who enjoyed the opportunity to hunt pheasant. Paul and Evelyn Hunsaker and children Hayley, Shaunn and Todd also visited with Johnnie and Ree. Rounding out visits to the old homestead were Mr. and Mrs. Steven Hunsaker. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Burt and family were the hosts of the annual Rasmussen family Beamingly yours. ou social. Wallace Dean Hunsaker is home following treatment at McKay-Defor hospital He is bleeding ulcers. recovering nicely. Varsel Chlarson is again after the removal of the brace he has been wearing following surgery on his right shoulder. He was injured earlier in a fall from a horse. A luncheon was held immediately following the formal program, with Governor Calvin Rampton as featured speaker. One unexpected highlight of the day was Ralphs opportunity to meet and talk with President Harold B. Lee of the LDS church. Attend Show Ralph and Sharon Coleman also attended the LDSSA talent show held at Weber State college last week, and were witnesses to the mauling of a Weber State by a lion, which had been used throughout the presentation. co-e- d 600-pou- Guests of Jerry and Kay Wilde, Harper Ward, were Mr. and Blair Mrs. Carter, Blair and Kay are brother and sister. VISIT NURSING HOME Members of the Bunderson Brownie Troop visited Pioneer Memorial Nursing home on Wednesday, Nov. 14, to serenade the residents and present prettily wrapped bars of soap to each person at the home as they brought their cheerful Brownie smiles through the corridors and sang Hello and other favorite Girl Scout greetings. |
