Peters of Brigham City and the late Delmont Jones. The couple has circled Nov. 9 as their wedding date in the Salt Lake LDS temple. Try these recipes Apple Muffins egg, 2 tsp. baking powder V4 c. milk, Vi top. salt 1 c. grated raw tart apples, Vi top. cinnamon lVi c. sifted flour, Vi c. sugar V4 c. melted shortening Beat egg slightly. Stir in milk, shortening and apple. Sift flour and measure. Resift with the baking powder, salt, sugar and cinnamon. Stir until dry ingredients are moistened. (Batter will be lumpy.) Fill greased muffin topping. cups Vi to two thirds full. Top with One third c. brown sugar, one third c. broken nuts Vi top. cinnamon Bake 20 to 25 min. at 400 degrees. 1 nut-crun- Apple Crunch to 4 med apples peeled and sliced. Place in bottom of buttered square 8 in. pan. Topping Vi c. rolled oats, 1 tsp. cinnamon Vi c. brown sugar, Vi c. flour Vi c. butter Cream butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. Blend in flour and rolled oats. Place topping over sliced apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 0 min. or until apples are tender. Ice cream may be placed on top. 3 i Carmel Apples 2 c. sugar, pinch of salt 2 c. white corn syrup, 1 sq. butter 1 top. vanilla, 2 c. canned milk Boil sugar, syrup and salt until thick. (Do not stir only to mix) Add butter, then milk gradually so mixture keeps boiling. Stir constantly while adding butter and milk. Continue stirring and cook rapidly to firm bq(l from heat and add vanilla. Pour or spoon over1 cold firm apples. (If desired dip tops of carmel apple In crushed nuts.) Stand on cookie sheet to cool. There are 13 grandchildren.
