DAV sets Canadian visitor Mr. and Mrs. Uel Gam were at the airport in Salt Lake Friday evening to meet Muriel Wessel who arrived by plane from Vancouver, Canada to spend a few days as a houseguest at the Garn home. She also plans to spend simetime with Dr. and Mrs. Daryl Garn and family in Mesa. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Burton were their and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Jack Orton and family of Salt Lake City. A party in compliment to Myron J. Wood who has been released as a clerk in the Fielding ward bishopric was held at the home of Bishop ad Mrs. Richard Petersen. Paul Jensen has been sustained to take Mr. Woods place. Others attending were Mrs. Myron J. Wood, Mrs. Paul Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Orvin Peirson, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Welling, Mr. and Mrs. Burnell Roundy and Mr. and Mrs. John McClellan. A delicious pot luck dinner was enjoyed followed by a social. Mrs. C.T. (Reta) Hales is receiving medical care at the Valley hospital in Tremonton. Friday they visited Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Garn and family in Orem and Mr. and Mrs. Clark Garn in American Fork. Saturday the McCulloch family visited at the Garn home. Enjoying dinner with Mrs. Alene Sutherland Saturday were Mrs. Sandra Wheeler and small daughter Carri and Jill Sutherland of Ogden. During the afternoon the three ladies tied two quilts. Bishop and Mrs. Ross Rudd and family accompanied Elder David Rudd to the airport in Salt Lake where he left by plane for Mexico City, Old Mexico to serve an LDS mission. Also accompanying him to the airport were Mrs. Daisy Hansen of Tremonton, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Stokes of Elwood, Mrs. Leora Penhorwood of Clearfield, Susan and Sandy Beck of Bountiful.
