Show Tremonton, Bear River Valley News BOX ELDER JOURNAL, Brigham City, Utah Thursday, March 29, 1973 North Park PTA slates meeting IPirincipoiD eaftfteimds Navy program by Flo Munaon Dr. Darwin Woodbury of Tremonton, principal at Bear River High school, returned Friday from Annapolis, Md. where he was a special guest at the Blue and Gold program held in the Naval academy. It was strictly an invitational affair. He, along with other invited visited guests, Washington D.C. where they were guests of Sen. Frank E. Moss, Sen. Wallace F. Bennett and Rep. Gunn McKay in the Capitols Senate building. Dr. Woodbury reports the cherry blossoms are in full bloom in Wash. D.C. They visited the Arlington National cemetery and saw the "Eternal Flame" at former President John F. Kennedys grave. They also visited Sen. Robert F. Kennedy's grave. The trip was made by Naval aircraft. Returning from an enjoyable vacation are Mr. and Mrs. Newel Nish and Mr. and Mrs. Verl Nish of Plymouth. They visited Mr. and Mrs. Don Nish and family in Minneapolis and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nish and family in Harlowton, Mont. Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Don Nish and family of Minneapolis arrived to spend a week visiting at the Newel Nish home. Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stokes of Plymouth hosted a dinner party in their honor. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Newel Nish and Mr. and Mrs. Verl Nish. Saturday Visitors Saturday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Lott and family in Fielding were Mr. and Mrs. Vearl (Vernessa) Weeks, and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry (Fern) Jones of Victor, Idaho. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Jay Macfarlane in Riverside during the week were Mr. and Mrs. Ross Pettingill and family of Portland. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. visited Mrs. brother and Mr. and Mrs. Gale Idaho Falls. Mrs. Hazel Rose of Garland returned home Thursday after spending the past two weeks with her son and daughter-in-laMr. and Mrs. Lynn Rose and faiu.ly in New York City. She reports having had a glorious time and saw many points of interest including Broadway plays, the Atlantic Ocean, etc. She was accompanied home by her son Larry Rose of Brigham City who had been in Hartford, Conn, attending special schooling for Mutual Life. They returned by plane. w Weekend Guests Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Burton in Fielding were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Orton and family of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Don Edvalson and children Don, Kristy and Scott of Tremonton returned Wednesday after spending a week in San Francisco where Don Edvalson attended a principals convention. He is principal of the Fielding Elementary school. The Ed- valson family enjoyed visiting China Town, The Fishermans Wharf, The Golden Gate Park etc. Other principals attending from surrounding communities of were LaVar Douglas Snowville, Steve Johnson of Corinne, Ricky Dunn of Perry, Morgan Hawks from the central office in Brigham City. Overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Kalt in Salt Lake City Thursday were Mr. and Mrs. V.D. Bowcutt of Tremonton. Lions Met The Tremonton Lions club held their meeting Wednesday in the Cross Roads dining room. Club president Don Southwick conducted the meeting.Honored guests were the BRHS basketball team and the coaches. Nog Hansen, assistant athletic coach from USU in Logan was the guest speaker. New members welcomed into the club were Ralph Kotter, - James Edwards, Rupert Blackham and Reed Norr.
