Bill Thomas was rushed to the Burley hospital on Saturday where he is in intensive care, following a heart attack. His wife, Mary, is with him and also Duane and Vivian Thomas. Another sad note was that Ivan and Raida Kimber and Uncle Oz Kimber were on their way to Diane and Steve Leggetts wedding reception, when Ivan became ill and they had to return home. The reception for their first granddaughter was held in Brigham on F riday evening Hughic and Marge Thompson and family took Vera Tanner to Brigham on Monday as she was suffering severe pains in her back, chest and arm. When the doctor pronounced pluresy, everyone was most relieved. The pains didnt disappear immediately but the nervous tension did. The family enjoyed visiting Eilene and Bob Torrey and children, Norma and Dean Clark and family, Mrs. Chloe Tanner and Mrs. Fern Shaw. Fern was elated with the news that their son, Eldon Shaw, had just been ordained as Bishop of his California ward. Man Improving It sounds like Valison Tanner is getting along well now. He and Hattie are staying with their daughter, Fae and Dean Patterson and children and Val goes daily to Salt Lake for medical treatment. Jennie Richins says he is improving nicely. Reese and Irma Warburton were in Salt Lake Friday to attend funeral services for Ross Richins, who died of a heart attack at his home in California. The Warburton children also went along and visited in Logan with Irmas parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Adams. Dr. Arnold Gilbert and two sons of Brigham were recent quests of Richard and Joan Kimber over the weekend at their summer home here. The fellows all helped the local ranchers ..ride the range for cattle. Also helping the men were Sheriff Warren Hyde of Brigham, Wallace Betteridge of Montello and Kendall Kimber of Snowville doing Jack Kimbers riding. The Robert Torreys of Brigham Darrell Tanner and Rulon Miles of Ogden spent Labor Day weekend with Herbert and Vera Tanner. Blaine Tanner and Julie Garrett had a beautiful wedding at the Ogden temple on Wednesday. A large crowd of friends attended with them. Special guests besides the parents, Bishop and Mrs. Merlin Tanner, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Garrett were grandparents, Mrs. Vinnie Kunzler of Park Valley, Dell and Ella Tanner of Grouse Creek, Mrs. Mary Betteridge, 80 years of age, of Ogden. A lovely dinner party was hosted by Bishop and Mrs. Merlin Tanner at the following the wedding. A large crowd attended the wedding reception held in their honor Friday evening in the Chuck-A-Ram- months visit there with Carole and Bob Taylor and family. They came back to be here for Blaine Tanner's wedding and they reported a most enjoyable vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Sanders of Nevada spent the weekend here with Harley and Garrol Sanders and family. Harley Sanders had also come up from California for the weekend at home. Sunday dinner guests i.f the Hughie Thompsons were Mr and Mrs. Jess Beutler and seven children of Burley. Also isit were home for a short LaNette and LeAnn Thompson and Michelle Trush of Ogden Dr. Jack Johnson. Boyd Marble and Dolores Stokes of the Tremonton area held a meeting with local people o' F'riday. The purpose of the meeting was to promote interest and votes for the Nursing home to be built in that area. The men furnished delicious watermelon to those attending. Donald and Rachel McCurley have returned home after spending a month in Oklahoma with their grandparents. They are happy to be back with their parents, Nancy and Paul McCurley.
