Mrs. Young has been painting since 1969. She studied the art Mrs. under her mother-in-laRose Young. She has also studied under Betty Marble, Lanell Foote and Lee Parkinson. The exhibit at the nursing home consists of 12 canvases of landscapes and still life. She has exhibited at the Ogden IRS center and will have an exhibit at ZCMIs in Ogden this January. Mrs. Young is the wife of Deryl Young of Perry. She has five children. the Relief society, under the r direction of Paulena Robinette, held a work day meeting Thursday. Various projects were worked on. A luncheon was served during the meeting. The mutual officers met at the home of Betty Marx to prepare for the opening social of mutual. Betty Marx is going to be our new activity counselor. She is taking Sherry Flints position. Sherry is going to college this fall. The alfalfa seed is almost ready to cut. Some of the ranchers have started to harvest it. Surprise Visit The Clynn Rlchmans were surprised Wednesday when a pickup pulled into their place. The occupant was a missionary companion of Clynns. They served a mission together in England. He was Elder Neilsen of Colorado. Mr. and Mrs. Don Woodward and family spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Jay Brown. They had dinner and spent the afternoon visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Nelson spent Labor Day visiting with the Leo Flints. Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Reeder and sons, Stephen and Mike visited for awhile at the Leo Flints. Mike will stay until Wednesday. We have a new couple living here. Mr. and Mrs. Richard - Qrouf Creek Reports Residents Return From Meetings By Marge Thompson Mrs. Naomi Kimber was back in Brigham last week for the school meeting. She and Gary will be back in Brigham where Naomi will teach again and Gary will attend Box Elder High. Steven Kimber was also home from Brigham for the weekend. Pete and Pat Jones and family of Montello have moved back here to the Bryce Kimber park in Brigham. Attending from here were Jennie Richins, Ed and Pearl Harris and Chuck Harris, Rhea and Archie Toyn. LaRene Napoli came out from Tremonton and took Mrs. Jennie Richins down for several days visiting. Pearl and Chuck Harris and Archie Toyn played several musical numbers. FRIDAY spent the summer George works for Thornley Swan. Mr. Swan summers his cattle there. The Primary officers met at the home of Shirley Stuart to plan the opening of Primary. A fire burned about 250 acres Saturday night. The cause of the fire is unknown. It was contained about 12:30 at night. It burned the range land at the south end of the Promontory peninsula near the Lake Crystal Salt company. Veterans !
