YOUR Encourage Weatherman Confirms It: SIMPLY HUGE DOUBLE LOAD WE NEVER CLOSE Were in Drouth Charles Clifford, local weather observer, produced some figures Thursday to back up what Brigham City area residents althe past few ready know months have brought very little moisture. In fact, Clifford pointed out, during the period from June 1 to Dec. 31, 1962, total rainfall the amounted to 3.89 inches smallest amount of rainfall ever recorded locally for this period. The weatherman made his report at a Brigham City council meeting. And as a parting remark, he urged the council to use its best judgment in storing water in Brigham City reservoir to assure sufficient irrigation water for the coming irrigation season. Two programs in particular, both of which I was personally interested in, make this letter and thanks a must. First was the coverage of the Parley Belnap organ concert Dec. 1, and, second, was the North Box Elder Stake Christmas program, Dec. 22. Both events were very ably covered with both articles and photographs. Mrs. Ida Had-fiel- d and Bruce Keyes were very helpful and cooperative in both events and offered invaluable aid and assistance. Such excellent support from the chief means of local newsgathering media is indeed gratifying. This type of support is of course indispensable in attempting to provide our own community with programs not frequently available locally. Again I say thanks to you and your entire staff and best wishes for all of 1963. John D. Ensign 158 Poplar regular Day-Mi- te - r . ...
