Its the Hobby House, 332 owned and South Main, operated by W.C. Wood. The new shop features old coins, bottles, stamps and model rockets, in .addition to metal detecters. Well buy, sell or trade on coins and stamps, said Wood who is employed as a resident at Thiokol representative Chemical corporation. He operates the shop with assistance from his son, from 4 to 9 p.m. daily. Its the first time Wood has entered this kind of business its been my amalthough bition for a long time. terms of a 1971 sugar beet Agreement was contract announced this week by purchase of Idaho and Utah and grower organizations o Sugar company. The settlement was reached Tuesday evening in Salt Lake City after a series of meetings here and in Pocatello, Idaho. on all Utah-Idah- Vilford Freeman Wilford Freeman, 81. of 234 B Street, Salt Lake City, died early Thursday in the LDS hospital in Salt Lake City. He was a former resident of Brigham City and teacher at Box Elder High school. Born Sept. 10, 1890 in Olney, Buckinghamshire, England, he was a son of George R. and Jane Euphemia Carter Freeman. He immigrated to Utah in 1902 with his parents, and had lived in Brigham City most of his life. He was married to Esther P. Botton Sept. 13, 1911 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a graduate of Box Elder High school and of Utah State Agriculture college in Logan. Former Bishop He was active in civic and church affairs in Brigham City. He served as ward clerk for 17 years, as bishop of the Brigham City Fourth LDS ward for ten years and as a high councilman in the Box Elder LDS stake for five years. He was employed by the Box Elder School District for 44 years, 33 of which were at Box Elder High school. He retired and moved to 234 B Street in Salt Lake City where he has resided for the past 15 years. Robert J. Holben Robert J. Holben, age 30, of Plain City, Ohio, died March 3 in Plain City, of injuries received from a tractor rollover. He was born June 12, 1940 in New York. He was married to Earlene Bingham on Dec. 4, 1964 in the Logan LDS Temple. An active member of the LDS church, he was an elder in the Columbus, Ohio, LDS ward at the time of his death. He was a former resident of Corinne and had served In the US Army. Survivors Surviving are his widow, Plain City; four children, Todd, Heidi, Troy and Holly Holben, all of Plain City; six brothers and one sister, Bil Holbrn, John Richard Holben, was made by Rowland M. Cannon, president of the sugar company, Paul Holmgren, president of the Utah Sugar Beet Growers association, and Claude Johnson, Secretary of the Idaho Beet Growers association. Terms of the 1971 contract are much the same as those for 1970. Provision was made for possible changes if such should be necessitated by new amendments to the Sugar Act. The agreement also provides that modified individual sugar content determination will be placed in operation in Idaho for the 1972 crop. Other producing areas of the sugar company already operate under such a system. Born July 15, 1901 in Brigham City, he was a son of Lars Peter and Christine Marie Jensen Christensen. He moved to the Vernal area 46 years ago, where he was engaged in farming and livestock. He was married to Lola Smith of Vernal on Nov. 29, 1933 in the Logan LDS Temple. He was an active member of the LDS church and had served in various positions including ward clerk and stake clerk. Surviving are his widow, Vernal; two brothers and two sisters, Dean Christensen, DeVere Christensen, Mable Christensen, all of Brigham City; Mrs. Anna Laura Bonham, Denver, Colo. The Pebley Family Merit Badge Pow Wow Council Sets Scout Event The 1971 annual Boy Scout Merit Badge pow wow spon- sored by Brigham Young university, Ogden Center, in cooperation with the Lake Bonneville council, Boy Scouts of America," will be held on March 13, 20, 27 at Weber High school. Classes offered in 18 merit badge subjects, will be held on three consecutive Saturday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Some 700 boy scouts are expected to register for the program. Instruction in the following merit badge subjects will be provided: atomic energy, bird study, citizenship in the community, citizenship in the connation, computers, servation of natural resources, finger printing, firemanship, first aid, forestry, geology, nature, photography, drafting, public health, exploration safety, space and stamp collecting. Professional men will instruct the courses. Instructors include doctors, attorneys, judges, firemen, police officers, aerospace experts, geologists, school wildlife management, teachers, college professors and other business and professional men in the community. To Stimulate Interest The objective of the pow wow is to provide information and stimulate interest among boy scouts in the selected merit badge areas. Expert instruction will be furnished to help scouts prepare for merit badge examinations. After the pow wow, scouts are urged to contact their district merit badge counselors to officially complete and pass off the requirements in which they received instruction. Each scout will register for three merit badge classes, and attend one class each Saturday in each of these three subjects period. during the three-wee- k In order to assure enrollment in the program, scouts should at the Brigham Young University Ogden center, 555 - 24th street any week day between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Early registration will assure the scouts of the classes they want and facilitate program arrangements.
