" A local man recovered a check lor more than one hundred dollars last week courtesy of two cub scouts who chalked it up as another good deed. , David Davis, 10, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Davis, 236 West Sixth South, and Ward Whitaker, 10, son of Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Whitaker, 672 South First East, were on their way to cub scout meeting from school when they spotted a check laying on the sidewalk. The two youngsters picked it up and read the amount $113. They continued on to the meeting and on arriving, related their discovery to n mother, Mrs. Alma Allred, 625 South First West. She called the man whose name the check bore. He hadnt even noticed the check was missing but was delighted to hear it had been found.
