Rebecca is a lovely brown, white and black purebred, about one year old and very good with children. She was brought to the center in Fruit Height because the owners moved. Their guests were the members of the Syracuse First IDS Ward Bishopric and included Bishop and Mrs. Grant Mr. and Mrs. Blake Knight, Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Sessions and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Christensen. Mr. and Mrs. Norman J. Bennett and their four daughters, Karla, Debra, Angie and Ten and their niece, Linda Bennett of Sunset, spent last week on a fishing trip to Moon Lake, in the mountains east of Duchesne. Ray Cook, who has been hospitalized at the McKay Hospital for nearly two months, was able to spend a few hours at his home here Sunday afternoon. His family takes him for drives as frequently as possible and his condition is showing some improvement. All of his friends at home certainly do extend their best wishes to him for a speedy recovery. Mrs. Nettie Peterson of Menomonie, Wisconsin, is a guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kent J. Thurgood. Mr. and Mrs. Lou Buck enjoyed a family gathering of 23 family members this past week at their cabin in Scare Canyon, east of Logan. The members were the family of Mr. and Mrs. O.C. Murray of Washington. They came from Texas, Nevada, Washington, Idaho and Calif. As a concluding feature of the last night in Utah, the Bucks took their guests to the Visitor's Center in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Clarence Easthope has returned to her employment at IRS in Ogden, after being layed up for several days, with a back injury. Mr. and Mrs. Fay Child, Mr. and Mrs. Keith West, Bishop and Mrs. Sheldon Child and Mr. and Mrs. William Child have spent the past week at Sun Valley, a tradition that they started as a family some years ago. Jason Wilson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Brad Wilson has been receiving treatment this past week in the Childrens Hospital in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. James T. Williams and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Ritter, enjoyed a trip to Sun Valley last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Parley Hamblin and Mr. and Mrs. Jay Cuthbert spent a few days this past week in Idaho Falls, Idaho, on a camping trip. Mr. and Mrs. Alan Moss and their five children left on in San Francisco, Calif. They were guests at the home of Alans parents, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Moss, for the past week, havirg come here for the wedding of his brother Steve Moss and his new bride. The Young Adults of the Syracuse First Ward enjoyed a weekend of excitement this past week. They were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Porter at the summer home at Bear Lake, where they enjoyed boating, water skiing, hiking and swimming. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Wilcox, and their little daughter, have moved back to Syracuse, after residing in Tremonton for several months.
