It is a member that studies young rocks. Their club met June 23 with Mr. Orrin Miller. He invited them to his home and showed them his rocks. Ater showing them his rock collection, he gave each of the members a piece of amber to start their own collection. Leaders of the club are Mae Spires and Marie Harris. The group has a lot of field trips planned m the future. One other member of the club is Jeff Gray who just joined. Proud Of Their Graduates Competes In Song Writing Contest Graduating from high school was once not a common occurrence. Today, many teens are graduates and in the eyes of their parents and grandparents it is still a special moment Leonard and Louise Ginter are proud to have three grandchildren in the graduating crass of 1983. Smith Lorna Diekmann Smith, 65, wife of former State Legislator Jack Smith, died at her home in Stans-bur- y Park on June 28, 1983. She loved life and was always a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was born on Oct. 18, 1917 in Plymouth, Nebraska, to Herman and Louise Hueske Diekmann. She married John E. (Jack) Smith on Dec. 2, 1945 in San Francisco. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Nov. 13, 1953. Mrs. Smith had been a Primary and Relief Society officer, genealogy worker, served a name extraction mission and was an active temple worker. She is survived by her husband, Stansbury Park; daughters, Mrs. Frank (Nola) Snedeger; Mrs. Michael (Susan) Waltke, both of Mrs. Smith Grantsviile; six grandchildren; mother, Nebraska; brothers, Hil- ton, Elwood, Garland, all of Nebraska; Norman, Oregon; sisters, Dar- lene Sorensen, Vernice Griffeth, Leola Batterman, Verlene Van all of Nebraska. She was preceded in death by two brothers.
