Show THE SAN JUAN RECORD Wednesday Januaiy 6, 1992 - Page 5 This live nativity had a very nice sunset to add to the beautiful surrounding of Pioneer Park on Christmas Eve. It was chilly but well attended. Live Nativity enjoyed by good crowd Christmas Eve over 200 people enjoyed a live nativ- ity at Pioneer Park in Monticello. This was performed by the young people in the community, complete with donkey, sheep and baby. Singing was provided by the Adairs and Dan Shoemaker, including Christmas caroles which the audience participated. A scripture reading and a short Christmas message was given by Gary Suttlemyre. Prayers were offered by Chuck Kreautler and Bill Cleveland. Hot cider was enjoyed by all. A grateful thanks is offered to those who participated or in any way helped with the program, including the who prepared the costumes, worked with the lighting, music, preparing and serving the cider, providing and transporting the sheep and burro, and even the baby who cried and made seem so real. it all Especially Bill Cleveland, who planned and organized the program and very special thanks to Dorothy Adams who made it all possible. Plans are to keep this an annual event. Hughes Golden Anniversary Wesley and Verde Hughes celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on Dec. 26, 1992, in. Mesquite, Nev. All 12 of their children, 46 of their grandchildren, were in attendance. Verdes mother, Wasel Washburn, age 96, also at- tended. They were married Dec. 22, 1942. tm GOT A BUSINESS CARD? Eberhard is the third SUU recipient of the fellowship in the last two years. Two of the Hatch Tax Research Fellowships are offered within the Utah higher education system each year. Last year, both of them went to SUU graduate accounting students, Jennifer Beck and Jace Bunting. Eberhard will leave Jan. 11 for a six month visit to Washington D.C., to work on Hatchs staff doing research dealing with tax |
