Show THE SAN JUAN RECORD Thursday February 4, 1982 LaVar (Teek) Lyman. We hope he will enjoy his stay. His visitors have included Margaret and Shareen Shumway, Margie Lyman, Dayne and Lois Shumway, Louisa and Larry Lyman, Chloe Shumway. Dayne and Lois took Teak for a ride Friday afternoon. Activities this week included the movie Barefoot Executive, popcorn, arts and crafts (paper cans) table games, storage birthday party for Rosa Dexter and a baby shower for Director of Nurses Kathleen Lyman. We had cookies and punch. Proud father, Austin, brought Cameron McKean for all of us to see. The Lymans received many lovely gifts. In resident council we ate candy bars given to us by Austin and Kathleen in honor of their baby. We also talked about his name he was named for his grandfathers mail route to Cameron, Arizona and McKean Posey, a Ute Indian. Austin Lyman, social worker, led the discussion. The senior citizen ride on Monday took us to Monticello to visit Fay Mosley at the San Juan Hospital. We sure miss her and she will be back with us hope soon !l! Going were Rachel Short, Helen Falconer, Nova Hannigan, Lucinda Willis, Blanche Will and Barbara Turk. Dave Guymon was our driver. Gertrude Hodson was visited by Marie and Ed Parker and Ed and Marie Phelps from Dove Creek. Etta Steinbach was visited by Gretchen DeHann. Visiting Jonathan Jones were his parents Willis and Veda and his brother and sister. Mary Ann Jones was visited by Barbara and son. Visiting Neta Young was Gene Hacking. Visiting Irene Redd were Jewell and Nancy Adams, Marge Lyman, Margaret Redd, Francell, Gene and Todd Blickenstaff, Shirley Croft and children, Keith Redd and Marva Laws. Marva also visited with Karl Barton. Lorena Lamemans mother to stopped by see her and brought along Lorena s niece and nephew. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Day and children came to visit all of us here at the Nursing Home. Also visiting with us were Norma lance and Reva Connally. Cost for the banquet is $5 per person. A free ticket will be issued for each renewed membership in the Chamber. Annual membership fee is $50. The Chamber invites Blanding citizens to nominate persons they feel should receive the honor of citizen of the year. Nominations will be accepted until February 16 Howard by Randall, Mike Marsha Keele and Christensen, Raymond Lyman. The Chamber banquet is open to the public and advance tickets may be purchased from any of the persons listed above. Sam Taylor, publisher of the Moab Times Independent, will be guest speaker. BLM grazing public comment period for proposed amendments to grazing regulations covering public lands A administered by the Interior De- partments Bureau of Land Man- agement (BLM) has been extended for 30 days. The changes would cover public lands in the western States exclusive of Alaska. The period, announcoriginal on November 11, was to have ed ended on January 12, 1982. It will 60-d- ay now end on February 11, 1982. The proposed amendments include deletion of approximately 20 percent of the volume of existing regulations. They also would provide an incentive for livestock operators to contribute toward rangeland improvement work and would streamline Bureau procedures for handling unauthorized grazing use.
