Buckaroos won 6. Bucks rode the Broncos all the lead at half time way to a and it looked as if the Broncos were dead. Jay Hacker, Bronco center with an average 15 points per game record, was held to two points by Mark Paul. Paul, a senior, controlled the boards and denied Hacker the ball. Bronco Jens Nielson kept his team in the game with eight points in the first half. Buckaroo Clay Johnston was hot on the outside missing only two of eight shots. Richie eight first-ha- lf Maughan had points. The Bronco locker room may have been quiet and serious at half time, but the Bucks were jubilant. It proved to be almost fatal, as they fell apart immediately in third period action before a full house of fans. With the help of Mark Belliston, who finally worked out the ldnks and put in eight points, Broncos pulled to within four points. Paul and Jon Smith lost control of the boards late in the third period and it was a mad dash with an emotional crowd screaming and at each other. The real shocker came when Buckaroos Paul and Jon Smith fouled out, one immediately after the other, on controversial calls. Bronco fans went wild as MHS Coach Griffin reorganized his team.
