The first time it sounded the garbage truck had got on fire and later in the day when it blew, it was a trailer house at the Orris Murphey residence. The occupants luckily got out in time, but the trailer and furnishings were a total loss Again our local radio station, KUTA, has made it possible for us to hear the general LDS Conference direct from the great tabernacle in Salt Lake City this coming weekend. As a result, adult Sunday School classes will not be held in either of the three wards in Blandipg, that people might hear the meetings on their radios and TV's. Classes for the Junior Sunday School will be held as usual. Mrs. Dolly Boyles and uaugmer, Marion, drove to Salt Lake and Provo last weekend to visit friends and relatives. Mrs. Velva Stevens came back wijth them from Provo for a few days visit. She is a sister of Mr. Grant Bayles and Scott Bayles and grew up here. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Kimmerle of Bullfrog are here to spend a few days. They say the weather at Bullfrog is great the past week or so. On Saturday Mr. and Mrs Roy Lyman drove to St. George for a short visit. While they were there they drove to Tropic , Utah to visit an Uncle of Mre, . Lyman, whom she had'nt seen for many years, who is 90 years old and very alert. Te is a brother of the late Zeke Johnson. The Lymans, visited and Zions Canyons andBryce drove through the Mt. Carmel tunnel. They report a delight- ful trip. Mrs. Ida Mar Markham came rom Spanish Fork on Thursday and got her father and mother .ie J. Wiley Redds and took them to her home to visit for a few weeks. While there they willijelp ler celebrate her birthd&S, Vfrs. Markhams son, Ben, las a birhtday the same day. The high school juniors seem to be busy getting ready for their Junior Prom. Mr. Marion Black is home again after spending a few days at the hospital in Monticello, and is feeling some jetter. |
