Potts of Castle Dale, died Nov. 3, 1983 at her home in Salt Lake City, after a lingering illness. She is survived by her children: Jeanene Nelson, formerly of Castle Dale; Claude Boden of Abilene, Texas; Janice Perex of Roy, Utah; James Boden of Twin Falls, Idaho; Shane Boden of Burley, Idaho; 26 and eight greatgrandchildren grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James Howard Boden and a son, Richard H. Boden. Services were in the Second Ward Stake Center in Burley, Idaho, with burial in Burley on Nov. 8, 1982. Kelly CASTLE Kofford, age V. Kofford - DALE Kelly Vern 40, of Castle Dale, died at a Salt Lake City hospital. Born May 28, 1943 in Castle Dale to Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Kofford. Married Vicki Cox; later divorced. Married Konnie L. Nipper June 6, 1983 in Salt Lake City. Was presently employed at Emery Mining Company and had been a miner for 23 years. General mine superintendent at Wilberg Mine. While there introduced a safety program whose record has never been broken. Chosen to go to Germany to observe their specialty in coal mining, the long wall. They installed them in the Deer Creek and Wilberg mines. Former member of the UMWA. Founding member of the Castle Dale Junior Riding Club and was their first president. Member of the Blue and Gold Riding Club, CCRC and a promoter of the present rodeo grounds. Devoted father, husband, brother and beloved son. Survivors: Wife, Konnie of Castle Dale; son, Richard, Orangeville; daughter, Sherry Maxwell, Castle Dale; stepchildren, Tammy and Larry Larsen, Castle Dale; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Kofford, Castle Dale; brothers and sisters, Ken, Kraig, Karen Huntsman and Kolleen Gilbert, all of Castle Dale; also, Aunt Bea and Uncle Pat Winters, Castle Dale. Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 7, 1983 at the Castle Dale LDS Chapel. Burial, Castle Dale Cemetery. Nov. 4, 1983 Stake road shows held Ward Fifth walked away with four listings, best overall, best actress, best costumes and best scenery. The delightful Santas Toy Shop Fantasy featured Bishop Mark Justice as toymaker and Cyndie Burr as the exquisite singing ballerina, fearful lest she be given to a careless child. As the Jack in the Box, Jim Jones, Nick and Lori Wilson, as the Raggedy Ann and Andy, the tin soldiers, puppets and other toys did their best to allay her fears. It was too good to be true that she wound up in the arms of a gentle and appreciative little girl. Bob and Connie Voorhees wrote the script and directed. Schauerhamer gave excellent support at the piano. Elmo Ward copped the honor of having the most original script. The petunia in the onion patch was transplanted with the other flowers after the sleepy gardener realized that he must do good to be true. Dewene Lund wrote and directed the show with piano support from Colleen Peterson. Elaine Best All Around Acting and Most Participation and Best Original Music awards were won by Cleveland Second Ward. The musical starred Judy and Prall do-go- od Clarence Wall and the daughters of Ron Kennedy formed the family group at the side of the stage. Grandpa told the stories and the scenes were enacted. Priscilla Hawkins wrote the script. Sue Coles served as director, composer and ac- center Tuesday. Huntington Leamaster. Garth Johnson as salesman the crooning Mr. villainous the overcame Gloom in the final showdown. Susan Davis and Linda Daley wrote the script and directed the action. Taking charge was Sherry Wilkinson, road show specialist assigned by the stake activities committee. She submitted rules to the wards, read and approved scripts, and chose judges. She said the script submitted by Huntington First, written by Bulah McElprang, was one of the best, in her opinion, but lack of support prevented its companist. Huntington Third Ward was chosen as Best Set Design. Brenda Young, Myers as Walter Pinchell and Ernie Taylor as Dr. Franken-.stonthe blender of the worlds most tantalizing root beer. Julie e, Almond as Miss Klutzy Suburbia won the beauty pageant and danced with the junior chorus line. Ruth Warner wrote and directed the play and made the fantastic props, including the giant sized loaded powder puff smacked in Pinchells face by the makeup lady. Best Music Title went to Huntington Second Ward and the Best Actor to Lynn Judges were Grace Johansen, Darla Durfey and Verlynn Miller, who filled in as substitute judge. Originally, judges from CEU had agreed to come, but a date change preempted their decision. Verlynn said the committee was pleased with the quality of the shows and the use of the entire family in many cases. This year the committee had decided to make the shows family oriented instead of just the mutual age groups. The many costumed children singing and dancing and taking part enhanced the charm of all the shows. r y, n, Va. Memorial services will be held in New York City on Nov. 20, 1983. Bom Jan. 19, 1915 in Cleveland to Hans Oliver and Nora Anderson Jensen. Married Hanna Bee Mendenhall who prececed him in death. Survivors: Son, Michael Jensen, Magna; grandson, Joshua Jensen, Magna; brothers and sisters Gladys both of Nelson and Duane Cleveland; Zenna Linton and Ray of Huntington; Gerald Jensen, Sequim, Wash. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 10, 1983 at 1 p.m. at the Magna LDS Stake Center, 8400 West 3100 South. Justesen, all Orangeville; Mrs. Arvon (Janice) Snow, Tempe, Ariz.; Mrs. Former Price resident Beverly Bithell Shakeshaft, Brooklyn mm Ml Utah, she began a long career as a dancer, actress and ballet instructor in New York, having been invited by choreographer Helen Tamaris, who worked with her in Utahs 1947 centennial production of Promised Valley, to be in the New York cast of Annie Get Your Gun, starring Mary Martin. She later danced in the original Touch and Go, production of Guys and Dolls, Can-Cawhich starred Gwen Verdon, and Plain and Fancy. Illness caused her to retire from the stage at which time she opened her own ballet school on Long Island and continued teaching until 1979. She has been involved in the of direction and choreography dance and operettas musicals, recitals on Long Island for over 20 years. Her dance skills and dramatic ability helped to advance good theater in the area in which she lived. She often returned to Price to visit her family and has instructed local classes in dance and exercise. In addition to her professional activities, she excelled in her hobbies of sewing, knitting, crewel and flower arranging. She is survived by her husband of Brooklyn Heights, N.Y., mother of Price and brother Dr. Thomas C. Bithell and family, Charlottesville, Beverly Shakeshaft B.
