Show 2A Emery County Progress Wednesday, November?, 1983 country living Community Serve corn chowder on Thanksgiving eve r . by Angie Fillmore With all the planning and preparation necessary for that Thanksgiving meal, you might like to try tills Com Chowder recipe shared by Mrs. Hope Umphenour of Castle Dale for that Thanksgiving eve crowd. Mrs. Umphenour says it is easily prepared, and makes a lovely evening meal before that big day. The Umphenour family also enjoys a holiday Cheese Ball, with plenty of crackers. TL, 1 social briefs ORANGEVILLE qt. milk C. Cheddar cheese (grated) The children of Wilburn and Sarah Robertson honored their parents with an anniversary reception Saturday, Nov. 5. Many friends and relatives were present for the event. A program was presented by children and grandchildren of the couple as well as the Gardner brothers, Julie Johansen, and the Emery County RSVP Senior Citizens band. The band also played for the dancing which followed. The cake which was decorated to depict their 50 years of marriage, seven children, 20 grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren, was made by daughter Deanna Gardner . Long time friends Kirk and Julie Johansen presented the couple with a handmade quilt honoring their 50 years together . Wilburn Burke Robertson and Sarah Jewkes were married Nov. 6, 1933. They have seven children. Carolyn Jensen, Roseville, Calif.; Deanna Gardner and Cloyd both of Orangeville; Barbara Peterson, Grantsville; Vonda Troyer, Hayes, Kan.; Royce, San Antonio, Texas; and Bert Gove of McCook, Neb. Bert is the widow of their son, Gordon, who was killed in an accident 11 years ago. Vz 1 tsp. rosemary salt and pepper to taste Fry bacon in large pan. Sprinkle 1 tsp. paprika and 1 tsp. chili powder on a piece of paper and roll cheese in it. Wrap in foil. Age at least three days. Visitors Friends, relatives, and neighbors met Saturday, Nov. 5, for a potiuck supper honoring Art and Polly Enke. The Enkes are moving from Orangeville after 12 years. The couple was presented with a small token of remembrance and many good wishes for success in their new endeavors in Provo.
