Huntington man told deputies that 30 stereo tapes and a tape carrier were stolen from his car while it was parked in the parking lot of a Huntington store. Castle Dale woman reported theft of her wedding ring from her home. UHP officer arrested a DUI suspect north of Huntington on SR10. Criminal mischief complaint was checked at Mine where some vandalism was done over the weekend. Huntington man was arrested after his vehicle collided with an apartment building in Huntington. Suspect was charged with DUI. Drunk driver arrested south of the North Cleveland Junction on SR10. One juvenile and one adult were arrested near Emery County High School after being reported as suspicious around subjects the school. The pair was charged with possession of a controlled substance. Price man reported to Emery County detectives that he found remains of possible illegally killed eagle near Woodside west of Green River. The case was referred to Division of Wildlife Resources officers. Two Ferron juveniles were stopped in a Ferron grocery store and held for allegedly shoplifting in the store. A salesman was to reported deputies in Castle Dale after a woman said she saw the suspect with a sack of marijuana. That report was unfounded according to deputies who made contact with the suspect. One vehicle involved in accident east of Emery High School on SR29. No injuries were reported when the vehicle ran off the road and through a fence. Castle Dale shop owner called deputies when she found a man asleep in her store when she opened for business. Subject was escorted from the store by deputies. Price woman told deputies that two packages fell from her car while she was shopping in Huntington. Castle Dale man was arrested for DUI and possession of controlled substance after he was stopped near Esquire Parkway in Castle Dale. Ferron woman told deputies some juveniles had taken some money from her home. Several complaints were filed by local residents about salesmen selling citrus fruit in the area. The sellers were advised to get local business licenses before selling any more and deputies said they complied. Emery teenager told deputies that someone took a car stereo, two speakers, a Sony Walkman, and an amplifier from his car while it was parked in Castle Dale. Huntington man was arrested after a traffic stop for carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle. Complaint was issued against suspects at a residence on West 200 North in Huntington for playing loud music late at night disturbing the peace. Deputies in Elmo assisted in the rollover on investigation of a one-ca- r SR155 four miles northwest of Elmo. No one was injured but the small car was severely damaged. Huntington woman told deputies she thought someone had been shooting at her trailer. girl and a man sufcollision fered injuries in a two-ca- r at the intersection of River Bottom road and Orangeville Main. Both were taken to Castleview for treatment of injuries. Two guns reportedly taken from a residence on East 400 North in Ferron. Reckless drivers were contacted on 300 East in Huntington. Two subjects fighting at a Green River motel were stopped and both parties were advised against any further fighting. Huntington woman complained that a male suspect had beaten her. When deputies arrived, the complainant declined to sign a formal complaint. Huntington woman was arrested on FTA charges from a Price City Court. Ferron woman told deputies that there was a man slumped over a steering wheel of a car abandoned in her driveway. Driver of the car was arrested for DUI at the scene. Deputies investigated a criminal mischief complaint at a Castle Dale residence. Complainant Fred and Louise Tuttle and Louise Orangeville celebrated their 57th Wedding Anniversary by attending a surprise party in their honor at the home of Howard and Dawnette Tuttle. To begin the evening, a dinner was served and then games were played. Manning: Defendant appeared before the Court on an Order to Show Cause to show cause why his felony probation should not be revoked, and he was sentenced to 90 days in the Emery County Detention Center. Jeff Bennett: Defendant was sentenced on the charge of Distribution of a Controlled Sube stance for Value, a felony, he was given 5 years in the State Prison and a fine of $500. The prison term was stayed and he was placed on probation for two years with Adult Probation and Parole. Restitution in the amount of $190 was ordered paid. He was also ordered to serve 30 days in the Emery County Detention Center. Dale Edwin Marquardson: Defendant was sentenced on the e charge of Burglary, a Felony, he was given 5 years in the State Prison and a fine of $500. The prison term was stayed and he was placed on probation for 18 months with Adult Probation and Parole. The prison terms were stayed and he was placed on probation for two years with Adult Probation and Parole. Restitution in the amount of $636.50 was ordered paid. He was also ordered to serve 60 days in the Emery County Detention Center. Daniel Ray Leffler: Defendant was sentenced on the charges of e Burglary and Theft, both felonies, he was given sentences of 5 years on each charge to run concurrently and a fine of $250. Killpack, Ferron, announce the marriage of their son Kyle to the third-degre- former Jean Psarros, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Psarros 0-- of Phoenix, Arizona. Kyle is a 1978 graduate of Emery County High School. He then went to Utah State University for two years then transferred to Arizona State University where he is studying engineering welding technology. He met his bride at ASU where she is studying interior design. Jean and Kyle were married Nov. 26, in Arizona. There will be an open house in their honor at the Ferron Stake Center Wednesday, Dec. 29, from 7 to 9 p.m. The couple plan to live in Tempe, Arizona. They will continue their schooling. third-degre- final approval to a Personnel Policy in the Dec. 16 commission meeting by adopting an ordinance establishing the new guidelines. The policy becomes effective Jan. 1,1983. Establishing guidelines for all county employees, the policy involves such areas as salary and fringe benefits, hiring, employment status, transfer and reassignment, overtime, employee conduct, performance appraisal, job descriptions, termination, appeals, ,and administration of the policy. Work on the policy first began in May when initial discussions took place. In June, orientation meetings were held for employees followed by a response by employees to a questionnaire regarding proposed guidelines. Interviews were then conducted in September between department heads and county ad- ministrators. In October, a set of recommendations was presented to the commission which discussed the proposals in meetings on Oct. 20 and Nov. 26. On Dec. 1 the ordinance was approved in principle, and County Attorney Scott Johansen was asked to prepare the final ordinance approving the policy. That was presented and approved on Dec. 16.
