Pour pumpkin mixture into unbaked pie shell. Bake in hot oven 425 for 45 minutes or until a cool silver knife inserted comes out clean. Serve plain or with whipped cream or ice cream (One quart pumpkin makes 2 full recipes) Stella Hastings 1 Vz PUMPKIN PIE Makes two 9 pies 3 cups pumpkin (1 IVz cups sugar 4 beaten eggs large can) well-greas- tsp. nutmeg tsp. ginger 1 tsp. salt 2 tsp. cinnamon 1 can evaporated milk 1 PUMPKIN ICE CREAM PIE Graham cracker crust. Brush generously with butter, sprinkle with brown sugar until well covered, then sprinkle with chopped nuts. Roll up like a jelly roll. Press edges together, bring ends together forming a circle. cookie sheet. Cut V3 way Place on a through in 2 inch strips. Twist over so cut side will be on top. Brush lightly with butter. Place in oven and bake at 375 for 25 minutes until light golden brown (in oven). Drizzle with butter icing when cool. Sprinkle a few finely chopped nuts over the top. POTICA oz. pkgs. (ground) walnuts and 3 Filling Mix cups sugar. Dough Melt together 2 cups milk, 3 squares margarine and yellow food coloring. Add 1 cup sugar, 6 eggs (beaten), 2 yeast cakes dissolved in about Vz cup warm water, let cool. Add enough flour until a stiff dough is formed. Cover and let rise double in bulk. Roll out and spread with egg yolk and melted butter, then sprinkle with filling mix. Roll up into roll. Cut and put into small bread pans (greased and floured). Brush top with egg yolk and sprinkle wth sesame seeds. Let stand 5 min., then bake at 275 for IVz hours. Makes 8 loaves. Connie Oliver 2-- SLOVENIAN CRUELLERS cups flour 3 egg yolks 1 cup sour cream pinch salt add cream, egg yolks Begin with 2 cups flour and salt. Mix together until the flour is gone. Add 3rd cup flour. Knead to a soft, but sticky dough. Let thin. Cut into stand. Heat oil. Roll out M dough squares, drop in and fry until light brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
