During the month of September, Nissen was involved with a college day for seniors at GC1IS During college day, and get a feel for college life. Later in November, she will be taking another group to visit Utah Valley State College. representatives from sur- rounding colleges were available to meet with seniors and supply them with information, including financial aid, tuition. scholarships, housing, campus life, and more. Edwards, counselor at the middle school, are holding SEOPs (Student Education Occupation Plans) for fresh- Tom men and seniors. The freshmen and their parents are meeting with Edwards to discuss future plans and careers. Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: W7FC), the nation's 1 small business lender and one of the top four Small Business Administration (SI1A) lenders, said its SBA loans rose 43 percent this year compared to last year, The figures are for the SBA fiscal year ending September 3 0. 2002. The number of Wells loans Fargo rose from 1,581 loans in 2001 to 2,256 loans in 2002, up 43 percent. Total loan value rose 28 percent to $469 million in 2002, compared with $366 million in 2001. This significant growth in both the number of SBA loans and the total dollar amount speaks to our continued and strong commitment to U.S. small businesses, said Jerry Gray, president, Wells Fargo SBA Lending.
