The $400,000 includes an estimated buyout cost of $200,000 to AHS for capital improvements and $200,000 for actual hospital operation during the upcoming year. During the last year the hospital operation was fully funded by the county, 1979, expenditures came to $163,000. It was announced that Bill Manzanares was home from a stay in a Salt Lake City hospital. The Christmas Party and December birthday party will be held Saturday, Dec. 18 at 8 p.m. Bring goodies and do not bring cakes. Now that we have gas heat at the American Legion Hall our meetings, dinners and parties will be held up there; unless advised otherwise. For the Dec. party those who wish may bring a $5 gift to be exchanged. If you do not bring a gift, you will not receive a gift. Sat. Nov. 20, the Valley Voices and club members sang Happy Birthday to Goldie Barks and Leo Burr. Anna Day and Cord Hinton were not present to celebrate their birthday with us. The Valley Voices sang religious, love and patriotic songs. The songs were enjoyed by everyone present and the ladies looked so attractive in their white pleated skirts dark blue suit coats with red collars. The ladies said a special thanks to Fred Lathrop and Howard Shields for their hard work of connecting the gas heaters. It was nice and warm in the hall. The 52 persons enjoyed project fund. The fire department, which is primarily funded through a special service district, received $20,000 from the county this year. The county set aside $100,000 in the capital project fund this year.
