Show ' LEGION MEETING SET FOR MONDAY American Legion Lyon -Gardner-Irving Post 1 I 9 of Wert Jordan nnd its auxiliary have regular meetings scheduled for next Monday night, April 9. The Legion is meeting at Marv's gym at 8 p.m. and all legionaires are urged to attenJ. Plans for the annual Easter Egg hunt sponsored by the Legion will be discussed. It was also reported that members mem-bers of tSe Legion will start canvass can-vass of every home in the West Jordan area the first of next week to sell tickets for the Easter egg hunt. Tickets will sell for three for a dollar. Money raised from the sale of tickets will be used for Legion Le-gion welfare projects. Local merchants mer-chants are contributing prizes for the drawing, which is tentatively set for April I 7 at Budget Mart, it was reported. The Auxiliary will hold their meeting at the home of their president, presi-dent, Mrs. William Thompson, 7689 So. 1530 West at 8 p.m. Election Elec-tion of officers will be held. |
